Combat classes were completely unplayable to me before the patch. Now at least we have a proper, rational MMORPG where you're not penalized for killing things in an efficient manner.

To be honest I was quite pissed off at the time due to that attack bug, but the patch did screw over a lot of my gameplay. GLD being the worst.

I'm not sure the new skill gain system is any better. Solo is way better, but it seems it's now more efficient to solo than party? That's what I don't like. Either that or people who have been whining about party SP since patch are doing something wrong.

Ambidexterity: Halves the stamina cost of your next action, costs half the stamina bar to use. Five minute cooldown.

EDIT: It actually works differently than I thought at first glance: it reduces the cost of shield (technically offhand) skills by half for around 30 seconds. Would be pretty cool if it wasn't for the huge initial cost and the 5minute cooldown. Still sort of dissapointed.

There was a spike right after the patch but now during NA prime time there are fewer people on than I've ever seen before. Has to be less than 600. Ul'dah isn't even full of afk bazaars anymore. All the camps are pretty much empty!!(!)

Couldn't find a partner to do leves with even if I wanted to. Guess I'll try again when the December patch comes (if we're still in the free month at that time.)

I've noticed the same thing the past few days. Ul'dah steps are empty, market wards are desolate. Pretty pathetic :/

Palamecia feels pretty empty, at least in LL. However, people have still manged to fuck up the Market Ward system and all crammed into the first couple wards again.

Just shows that they have more work to do. Good for SE; it'll keep a fire brightly lit under their collective asses, making for a better game.

Its not like they're going to run out of money anytime soon.

Have they made any mention of fixing the Windowed mode to remove the border or making tabbing on Fullscreen possible?

Limsa Lominsa and Gridania are going to feel empty on any server. Especially inside the market wards. Ul'dah has become the center of commerce for good reason. Makes flavor-sense too.

The world in general feels empty. I played again last night and barely saw anybody, even at the leve NPCs.

Its supposed to be some Persian knock-off (hence the silk everywhere), and we all know that Persain settings are always the centers for commerce in trade.

Uldah was pretty barren when I logged in randomly last night, but again, its to be expected. SE still has a lot of work to do.

Yea, I've been trying to find an active linkshell if only for chatting but nobody is around. With Rift coming and Guild Wars 2 and then Star Wars too, I'm not sure that SE will be able to recover even with huge changes in the game. At this point, I'm ok with the game but I'm looking for the Dec. updates to be even better and hopefully the UI they come up with will be pretty sweet. The game has come a long way but it should have been launched in it's current state.

everyones mostly sitting in uldah around the steps/repair npc area's

but the camps do feel kinda empty lately, think between CoD and cata coming up SE is going to be somewhat low on pop. That and SE is somewhat ignoring the fact that group exp is pretty... terrible, and shell effectiveness is nonexistant. No one can really level up to do the december HNM content at this rate unless you were already lv 50 >.>
