Anima recharge rate is fucking stupid. They should fully recharge with each leve cooldown or something. I can't count how many times I died today after doing the 6 anima teleport from Limsa<>Gridania and then being thrown back to Limsa/Gridania only to have to use that 6 anima teleport again. God I am down from like 80 to 35 just from one day of doing Blacksmithing local leves. This game is seriously bad they didn't fix shit from the beta, there is even more lag in the menus/battle system than there was during the beta.

That's not "control." That's "don't put all your eggs into one basket." There was no control in XI over being high-level and having the small amount of +skill gear that was available.

Yeah I agree with that, but when you look at how most synths in FFXIV usually require much more than just the skill you're crafting on, it's not exactly fast process here either.

But as I stated, I personally don't mind that at all. I've enjoyed crafting a lot so far.

anima is supposed to be a once a day thing like warp cudgels in 11 except it's free. You seriously think they would let you warp anywhere any time indefinately? Save it for a long distance trip ( city - city). Also if you travel with friends only one pt member has to use animas, which divides the costs. And die + Home pointing is a free warp btw.

A faster recharge rate does not translate to indefinite warps. Local leves have you delivering stuff all over the region, if you want to walk that it'd take quite awhile. This would all be a non issue if Chocobos weren't "sick". Yes, obviously dying is a free warp, if you'd read my post you'd know I understand all too well that dying results in a warp back even if you did just spend 6 anima to teleport and didn't touch the Aether after you arrived. Stop defending a shit system lol.

What they could do is make it recharge faster the higher your rank is (or physical level). Don't forget we are just a bunch of lowbies so far rank 10-20... In FFXI you could only walk or pay a whm for a teleport at those levels. /whiteknighting

Please, please, burn with napalm whoever designed recipes rank. I want a new MRD axe, it's a level 6 smithing recipe... Why in the hell the axe bead is a level 21 smithing recipe? Why? &/$&/&()/£

The thing that annoys me with anima is after you teleport it doesn't set your new home point to the crystal you teleported to. So if you forget and then run out into say Black Shroud and get eaten you could find yourself back at Limsa Lominsa. That happened a few times in the beta for me. It's easy to forget if you're in a hurry.

I'm totally with you on this. I don't necessarily want it be some rediculous recharge rate, but I'd like to get at least 15-20 anima per day, not 6 fucking anima.

It does, you just need to check the crystal first. Whenever you check a crystal or point mark, it sets it as your home point.

You missed what I was saying. I was pointing out what you just said, and why it's an annoyance. I'd like it to automatically set the crystal to your home point, because sometimes you forget to do it up on arrival and then die and end up half way across the world. I guess some players may not want it to do that, so the best solution is to give you a yes/no option upon arrival.

I actually prefer it does not automatically set my point to wherever I teleport. I generally keep mine set at Camp Bentbranch or inside Gridania. Occasionally, I'll teleport to Ul'dah or Limsa Lominsa to check the Guildleves there. If I don't find anything I really care about, I sure as hell don't want to spend a half hour running back home or spending 6 anima to get there. I just go throw a rock at a crab and I wake up, home sweet home.

Fair enough, but there's no reason they can't make it optional. Or maybe I'll get used to checking crystals upon arrival.

For everyone else having this problem, the solution (not that there should need to be one such as this), is to press up when your message box is open again.

If you were typing, "Hey, look who I--" and you get cut off, when you open the box again, press up and your message, "Hey, look who I--" will be there and you can complete your sentence.

It isn't perfect, but it's made talking while crafting - or doing anything where the chat box random disappears - much easier.

This isn't so much of a complaint as it is something I've noticed. There are a lot of things in this game that can be "shared". For instance, anima for teleporting and mobs from leves. You can group with people and do their leves helping them kill mobs for exp/skill then in return, they can help you. That way, you can do 16~ leves and you'll have 16 sets of mobs roughly (in a group of 2). There doesn't seem to be much of a penalty for grouping but rather more of an opportunity. Also, behest every hour (which is like a public quest which I dig) is a good way to obtain more exp/skill/gil too. So far, at least in my experience (outside of my friends/ls mates), nobody really groups or even cares to. This could be because of the beyond crappy recruiting search engine or just the fact that people are too busy trying to figure things out or do their own thing. So far, my best experience in game has been when server lag is not an issue and when grouping with other people and doing their leves. I've made what I consider to be decent EXP/skill in a short amount of time just doing my own leves and helping other people do their leves.

As far as anima regen, it could easily be 1 tick per hour or maybe 10 every 24 hours. There is no harm in allowing teleporting around from crystal to crystal.
