Yeah, it always felt dumb to me that you have to "choose" between earrings or rings or a necklace-- it makes no sense and seems like it makes the market really sucky for certain slots (especially earrings) by default.
I don't know anyone who uses earrings or bracelets. Mages seem to like chokers for the magic potency. I guess if gear was there for good stats people would use them, but the limit still sucks.
I wanna look like Mr T.
I use earrings on Pugilist and prioritize my equipment for Evasion. I like to think it makes a significant difference.
Wear four rings and pretend I am Don King
Are you denying the significance of evasion vs. solo-level mobs as a Pugilist by trying to compare it to tanking IT++ mobs in XI?
Appres and Olanges.
No, I was cracking a joke. Lighten up a little.
I am trying to enjoy this game, I really am, but I am going to have an aneurysm if I have to deal with my retainer anymore. Not just the brutally slow speed to do anything but the retainer randomly despawning while I am exchanging items and if she doesn't despawn the window randomly closes. Took me 10 minutes of cursing to delist some items from Bazaar and get them to my inventory so I could go NPC them.
Just checking.
I know what you're saying. Fortunately we don't have to deal with it much longer..
Q.
The response time of the user interface (UI) has certainly improved as a result of the version update, but my gaming gut tells me that the retainer interface screen has become heavier. Am I right or am I right?
A.
You are right. This issue will be addressed in the December version update. Changes are currently being made to the programming underlying this portion of the UI that will considerably improve response times.
No, I get that, but when inventory space becomes an issue, is having a set of super-expensive-to-repair items that barely affects your stats and chews up 5-10 slots in your inventory (depending on space), accessories are the first thing that people forego.
Just because you think its stupid doesn't mean it doesn't happen, and is happening. Of course, you always think like that, and go figure, shit always happens whether you chime in with your sparkling two cents or no.
"Map failed to unfurl. Please try again." LOL, best error message ever
more like game failed to unfurl amirite?
I hated it in XI and I hate it in XIV. I hate that equipment that is being worn still takes up space in your inventory.
I got that map unfurling crap once, no idea why it would err.
Two complaints:
1) Why does having one person in your behest party in another zone disqualify everyone in the party from receiving EXP/SP, even if they aren't the leader? Further, why does the text EXPRESS that the missing person is the leader, even if the leader of the party is standing right next to you, fighting red mobs on the map?
2) Why do I sometimes get full control of my character (including navigating the menus) while stuck in the loading screen? I have to remember where the log out option is, then select it, then re-select my character to advance.
#1 is a party glitch that usually happens when an existing party has people leaving and joining often and in other zones. The game loses track of who party leader is regardless of what it says on your screen. Just reform a new party to fix said problem.
No clue about #2
Poor Tanaka... suppose it was only a matter of time.
Why poor? The guy's always come off as a douche.
I mean with the apology and all I won't blame him but he gets no pity from this direction either.
