Can anyone confirm/deny you Need the NM Title from Abyssea Mega-boss as your Current Title in order to Complete the Mission upon leaving the area?

I.E: You go in, kill Boss, get title, Kill second mob, get second title, Zone out = Still complete Quest?

Or is Title required to be your current Title in order to complete the quest?

I'm not, honestly. does 522 inside abyssea with no special atma. Could get a moldavite earring and use abyss cuirass for ws to pump up the damage, but I haven't toyed with those pieces yet to see how high i can get the numbers.

working on it, but it'll be 2-3 weeks if things go well, which it wont. I think firefeng is fairly close.

How should I do my WHM merits?

Regen, cure cast time, and barspells are all good choices for group 1. I'd probably do 5 regen, 5 barspell myself.

Group 2 i'd do 5 devotion, 4 shell, and 1 martyr. Definitely wouldn't bother would pro5 (even if we didn't have single target protect5 available now, it's only 5 more def than pro4, so anyone who used even a single merit on it should just kill themselves). Martyr typically isn't very useful, but if you get silenced/muted, or completely run out of mp, it could be very helpful in a pinch. The only other real option that isn't retarded is 5 devo, 5 shell. Up to you if you want to drop a merit in shell for martyr, which admittedly is useless 99% of the time, but once in a blue moon it can be a life saver

Does anyone have any experience with La Velue, the smilodon NM in Batallia S? I've been out here for 3 1/2 hours trying every type of voodoo I can to get this thing to pop with no luck. The other wiki's testimonial pages all have different theories about which placeholder to kill, where to stand, etc and none seem to work. I'm fine with waiting a long time for a spawn, I just don't want to be out here killing the wrong PH.

This is terrible advice. Everything about making your white mage better takes a back seat to how fast you can get off a cure. Everything.

inb4 WHMs, but I'm pretty sure you can cap -cure cast on WHM with few/no merits in it. At that point, I'd think putting merits elsewhere would be worthwhile.

This obviously only applied to Abyssea, and we only care about Abyssea.

For sure, but despite that I like the extra security knowing I get the -20% no matter what, if fast cast shit doesn't go into precast fast enough or whatever.

I'm over 50% as is, and could drop 1 merit from it, but ya, it helps me sleep at night so no :c
