How has the population in FFXI been? Guessing lots of players left for FFXIV...and maybe some came back, or not. Does the game feel more empty compared to before? Not as many endgame LS?

honestly, it's pretty much the same. no one in my linkshell left ffxi to play ffxiv, and those that started playing 14 quit after a day or two in disgust. it's really a terrible game.

only thing I've noticed is that there's almost no linkshell shuffling. that is to say, people aren't jumping servers to join a new ls, or even leaving their current one. as far as endgame goes, people seem to have settled down. (for the time being)

Well, i figure i should just ask here instead of anywhere else. Whats the opinion on comming back to ffxi right now? I stopped in august, drk at 80, so it's not like i quit a long long time ago, but with the new abyssea and new campaign, ffxiv flopping (my pc can't even run the piece of shit and i have a buddy pass), aion getting boring again....Would it be fun to come back? Wish i could ask if all the people on caitsith started actually doing things again, but probably no one knows that.

I'm cancelling my aion sub before i get charged again, so instead of looking for a new mmo i figure i'd just spend an extra 10 bucks and come back maybe.

If you can deal with the fact that most "old" gear is obsolete/on the verge and accept the game has changed into an Abyssea-driven game then sure, come back and try it. If you enjoyed slow progression and cherished "that gear i worked years for" then you won't enjoy the new XI.

Bugards drop all lights so if you either build amber/ruby before stocking up alot of time, you're going to wind up getting too many red/gold chests which gimps your chances at blue/TE. If that isn't the problem, it's likely the killspeed of the alliance.

I tried this like 8 times today. My log read "Buffy's Max HP boost wears off." (or w/e the actual text is) and the icon disappeared. 2 seconds later, the icon came back. Glitch? or doing something wrong?

There is no glitch - the buff cannot be manually removed in the sense that the icon disappears permanently; your HP still drops. And then you can do it again. And again. And again.

Is Aspid/KB still camped? Need my last two pieces for tongue, I know back at 80 people still camped them just as hard but I heard refresh bodies are all over the place and such now.
