Yea it doesn't have much hp.

Fanatic drink > 2 hour > revit > Fanatic powder > 2 hour $$$ and maybe lucid II and III if you REALLY want a safety net.

Forgive my ignorance, but where am I getting all these temp items? Fanatic drink, powder, revit, and tp wing aren't buyable from cruor prospector (according to wiki), which leaves AH TP wing, so with medication, that leaves me w/ 2hr, 1 wing, no fanatics, no revit

That's not really solo then lol cause even if I'm able to do the NM alone, still have to depend on people and prolly time consuming as well to collect all of that, bleh and all my merits are capped, too.

If I need to exp or w/e though, I'll give it a shot.

You can buy fanatics from Bastion Prefect.

There is not Bastion in Visions of Abyssea zones, or can I buy in a scars zone and carry it over?

In the last few weeks, i've capped my merits, and got at least 1-2m more exp that was wasted!

All the cool kids keep exping with capped exp+merits.

I've even got merit bps for avatars i don't have!

Then you might have already watched the CS from Joachim long ago....

i have already said Joachim is not giving me the quest <.< none of the quest past A Goldstruck Gigas is in my quest log, current or completed. so does anyone else has an idea about what i need to trigger the quest "First Contact"? apparently, killing only one of the vision of abyssea quest NMs is not enough although otherwiki says so.

Gonna ask 1 more stupid question while I'm here. Usually lose temps when zoning, so is there anything special I have to do to carry the fanatics over the zone, or does it just keep it automatically?

Abyssea temp items stay with you no matter what Abyssea zone you go to. You only lose the temp items when you time out of Abyssea.

About that, if you leave with <5 mins left, you can't reenter for an hour, just like if you time out. Do you also lose your temp items in that case?

So, completed the move from PS2 to PC last night. I have Windower/Spellcast set up, and I use a PS2 controller -> USB converter still. For some reason I'm crashing if I spam weaponskill macros too quickly.

It's a habit from PS2 to basically rapidfire my macros in case they overlapped the first hit and the gear wasn't swapped (and unnecessary on PC because everything is so much goddamned faster.)

* How do I fix it, apart from just learning not to spam?

Another question. I notice that my "window opening" animation on PC makes blue boxes that cascade out to a larger size than the menu/window that will appear (about 50% larger than they have to be). I can live with it, but it's just kind of annoying. How do I fix that?

according to "First Contact" article on ffxiclopedia...

You need to complete three Abyssea boss quests to open up First Contact.
