Could we do something more optimal? and if I was focusing on stunning one move, is Absolute terror or Hurricane wing more important? was thinking wing.

It sounds like you're stuck in the old way of doing things. SAM WAR (or SAM, whichever) RDM BRD should have no issues killing either of them.

Well we are honestly, have not fought it since level cap increas when we know it wont be Nid ( I know we are pussy's ) we will try the 2x Sam Rdm Brd.

Thanks Rog and Thorny. Tracking range is just it's normal sound/sight aggro range, or 50'? (For non-scent mobs) When I used to duo aura statues I'd lose them going around corners so I assume the former?

As far as i can tell, it seems to be a somewhat random time (usually 25-30 seconds or so) time, which can be shortened a little if they can't find you (such as if you're too far away, around a corner, etc).

Fafnir killable by Pld Rdm Blm Sam?

We took one to 70% before the rest of the LS showed as DRK,RDM,BLM. There was 0 chance of us wiping. I see no reason why Fafnir isn't duoable.

we've been doing a lot of lowman faf/nid recently. melee/pld and a rdm or whm can hold it indefinitely obviously, and can probably kill it. any sort of trio setup can work pretty much; pld sch rdm works, drk whm brd works, you get the picture.

there's really no need to stun anything, worst case scenario it's really easy to land sleep on him now without ES.

I'm wondering whether people still bother with older content such as dynamis and salvage. I've been away from the game for a while and I know there is still gear from there that is viable even at level 85. From reading this forum it seems that endgame has become entirely consumed by Abyssea, is this actually the case or does it just seem that way?

It's mostly the case. There are still a few other things worth doing, but even so, most don't do them anymore, because they very well may not be worth doing very soon.

Last night i was soloing XI'aern(drg). I was doing normal bio zone nuke zone bio ext method but took me 1 1/2 hours to kill because it regened 24% 3 times. I figured out that i would watch bio ware off, bio, and before i could zone bio would already ware of. I thought bio was 2 min duration every time. Can anyone explain this? happened about 5 times the entire fight. got lucky and caught it twice before regen. Also i am 100% the first bio wore off before i re applied new bio.

Only thing I can think of is it didn't actually wear off first, cause otherwise it should have worked perfectly fine.

Is there a floor to evasion against a mob? I want to make a dancer eva set, and don't know if there's a floor that would make it more beneficial to not equip evasion in favor of haste in the gear set.

Watched it everytime. I would see "XI'aern's bio effect wares off" , i would cast bio II, run to zone and right when i got there see message "XI'aerns bio effect wares off".

Yes there is. Max evade rate is 80%
For thf, evasion is capped on most all mobs EM or less with no evasion gear at all. I don't know how dnc fares vs most EM mobs tho.

Yeah... Depuration wipes its debuffs. Don't Bio 2 it to death. Pop at a southern spawn point and get it so he walks back to between the two Ghrah rooms before Bio wears off. If you work it right you can Sleep/Aspir the nearby ghrah, open with a nuke, Bio II at the first stairs, and Poison II (or reapply Bio II if he used Depuration) at the second stairs, and zone. Repeat until he's at 5%, then kill him with Chainspell nukes or a big BLM nuke. RDM/NIN is going to do this the easiest these days.

My evasion is non-floored on DNC even against VT monsters in my normal TP gear, to the extent where I almost feel it's worth casting an Utsusemi: Ichi that I know I'll take a swing during. The new jellyfish monsters were DC-EM and had about 50% Acc on me in my TP gear.

I'm thinking of doing this for abyssea NMs. I can get around +65 eva in gear, but if thf is capped against EM or less mobs most of the time w/o gear, I can see that being overkill. Thanks for the info.
