Whats the best combo weapon for blu atm? Not counting Mythic/Abyssea.
Which mobs don't give Ruby in La Theine? Can't remember and need to know quickly D:
STR/STR magians. OAT/DA weapons are significantly less attractive in Abyssea due to autocapped fSTR and even more skewed spell:melee split. STR/DEX combo is roughly equal in Abyssea if you're in need of accuracy and/or can make highly efficient trades on it (better if you can't cap accuracy with STR/STR obviously, but... lol), but inferior outside.
spell WSC and pDIF sup
I saw that. I'm just denying the significance of the latter (pDIF) because of stalwarts and asserting the significance of a 40% (Not including DA%) increase in Sang damage as a possible counter to the increased WSC of spells which have 20-32% modifier at most and a are subject to level correction.
Edit: That's not to suggest OAT is superior, but I think it's been given unfair consideration because of the fact that we're used to thinking of STR as beneficial to fSTR, ATT, and WSC.
Merits for whm?
5/5 bar spell 5/5 cure cast time 5/5 shell V and 5/5 devo?
Stalwart's Tonic affects spell pDIF? Serious question, I honestly assumed it didn't and haven't checked damage as a result.
Also, <20% gain in SB frequency. Remember OAT only applies to the one hand and you're dealing with increased delay.
EDIT: Even if Stalwart's does affect spell pDIF, I have my doubts that you'd be capping even with it.
Would anyone offhand know if Quick Draw is effected by Magic Critical stuff? Trying to piece together a Quick Draw set for Thief and surprisingly there's very little in the way of Magic Attack Bonus stuff I can wear, so I'm trying to fill in some gaps.
Does DOT kills in abyssea give pearl lights?
If the DOT kills the monster, yes; however, killing with the damage from the spell (Say Bio III does 63 DMG) will result in an azure kill.
Yeah, I thought so, I got yelled at to stop DOTing mobs
Between the two, DEX for sure.
Testing on Alla suggested the formula for attack is (8 + STR/2 + blue magic skill). I haven't seen any further testing, but results were close enough to expected values that I've adopted it for lack of any other models.Originally Posted by Yugl
