well I have a Chuck Season 4 Finale on Monday, and then it was confirmed to come back for a final, 13 episode 5th season as well.. so I've got that at least. Oh and HIMYM.. I wonder if we'll find out the mom...before I die, lol

HOLY SHIT what a way to go out!!!
Though Breaking In got canned so![]()
Was kinda pissed at how shitty the Darkseid fight was but man the ending to the episode was good, love that music.
The first 85% of the finale was awesome. But then the end went..."That's it?" for me. I suppose I let my imagination run wild leading up the show, probably put myself in too high of an anticipation mode. Realizing after that it was still just a TV show and not a feature film.
After spending ten years of my life following it, there's a bit of a empty feeling realizing that's it. It was a respectable send off though, especially the bits with Rosenbaum. Captured that classic Smallville on-screen vibe perfectly.
Yeah.. I was 15 when this shit started. 15 and in high school. Crazy at how things change over the years..
It wasn't a abd ending, but I really do feel cheated of a fight, just once. The epicending, music etc, yeah it got to me... But c'mon, can he just for once, fight someone with super powers that's not over in 3 seconds? It felt like all those Peter vs Sylar's that never really happened.
Did they kill Chole off? I stop watching the show the second Lois said she doesn't want to be a report like her (Chole). I always thought, ok they are going to kill Chole so Lois would be a reporter to carry on Chole's dream but nope....she still ain't dead and it drives me crazy!!
The fuck is a Chole? You mean Chloe? Lol. No, she never died off. Her role was lessened a bit this season, but she was still a presence, especially in the finale.
And I agree about the fight, but I was so used to how Smallville handled things with their big bads (either super fast fights or slow motion everything), so I was like "Eh" when I saw it.
In a way, I feel cheated out of a big battle between Darkseid and Superman. HOWEVER, the speed at which he moved that planet away, LOL. It takes an hour and a half for it to creep up on Earth and then he flies up and WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH away it goes. Besides, we got 1v1 combat last episode! And I'm betting that this would be considered a "weak" defeat of Darkseid, maybe even say he had not physically manifested in the world (because uhh, we don't see that) but he'll be back in a few years in true form for a comic book fight.
Absolutely loved what they did with Lex. Great way to bring it all together, imo.
Loved them throwing Jimmy's actor back in, nice touch.
They just did their best to make everything fit into being a true prequel to a comic book continuity and considering everything...they pulled it off fairly well. Final 15min were amazing, imo. Going to miss the show. And you can tell they had fun with this final season, lol.
I thought that Zod was meant to show up in the finale? I also wanted Chloe to do more in the second half, rather than head off to Star City. Although it's true to her character, I wanted her to be there for Clark/Ollie more, rather than being purely her Watchtower role. Also none of the League were there.
I wanted something a little bit bigger for the ending.. but overall it was good. I was 11 when this started... weird that it's just ended now.
Also disappointed about not seeing his crotch in spandex. Or him standing ontop of a building with the cape caught in the wind.

I thought the first half hour or so really was boring but for sure the second hour, maybe that extra hour and half of the episode was just awesome. The scene in the Kent barn with the family hug was like wow, that was touching.

Other than those two things though, I had no gripes with the episode. Gonna miss this show for sure.
