there's been a couple meh episodes, but this episode was probably the best yet. So much went on in it. Not tons of cameos from previous season's characters (like Lex/Lana/etc..thank god no Lana), but still. Just an insanely great ep for this show.

rewatching it again, I realized how perfect that first flashback is:
Lana: didn't realize you had a dark side Clark
Clark: doesn't everybody?
Lana: so what are you? man or superman?
just so well written into the story of this episode

Thank god for once the obvious badguy wasnt a badguy. Infact, there was none at all, the only episode that I can think of like this.

Yeah. I was all 'oh god, a baddie from the past' and when it turned out not the case... almost made me crap my pants. Still, though.. that whole dialogue between him and Lana was great. I'm glad she didn't show up for real, though. Outside of Clark's dad's death, Lana was the source of his darkness too, what with her leaving him behind and so on. Liked how they handled her and the rest of it.

My only wish is they don't take this step forward, growing of character and all..only to take three hundred steps back next week.

I already forgot where I read it, but they said that Clark's newfound sense of leadership and confidence will be shown throughout the rest of the season.

Great episode, the preview for next week has me hopeful that with the accelerated growth of little Lex brings back the real Lex by the end of the season so they at least finish the season with Michael Rosenbaum.

thats a 1 of many theories floating around. a well known gripe of the actor was that he didnt like shaving his head. so with little Lex growing up with hair allows for Michael Rosenbaum to return, with hair!

I predict Clark and Lex will meet, hug, cry manly tears. their bromance willl blossom, it will be a beautiful thing. but then Tess, Ollie and Lois will get butthurt and jealous. decide to get rid of Lex's hair in his sleep. Lex wakes up, bald. sees himself in mirror, snaps and becomes evil again. yep called it here first. >.>
