    Shakey screen?

Not sure if this is game fault or my computer. Standard/High settings but when I travel through something like a tunnel the screen is shaky like I'm constantly moving up/down with camera view. Oh CPU = i7 930, and and ati 5870. I have a decent/crappy hardrive so not sure if that's the problem. :/

Shakey as in... shimmering line going up/down or the camera moves on its own?

Shakey like you're constantly moving camera up and down. The camera isn't moving on it's own, this only happen when I walk on rough plain or some stairs. This always happen when I walk through the tunnel that leads to the conjurers guild in gridania, and some other rough plains.

I'm fine with walking down stairs with my camera simulates up and down normally, some stairs are just abnormally shaky. Also happen in tunnels and plains.

Sounds like you have the exact same problem as me and I also have an ATI 5870, I'm using an i7 950.

What happens is when my character is walking over contours in the terrain his name starts shaking up and down. The character does it too to a lesser degree. I haven't figured out any solution yet and it's really bothering me.

Yea and if you notice the lower half of your screen when you walk over those kind of terrains it gets really shaky too but not much on the upper half. I also notice another problem, when I use the mouse to move the camera around the screen is shaky also. It's smooth when I use the keyboard or the controller R analog thou. Trying to figure out if it's the graphic card or it's my mouses. Tried 3 mouses and still the same result. Going to have to see if any of my friends want to loan me their video cards lol.

Edit: This is with 1920x1080 resolution with & w/o windower at max setting everything but buffer size and AO.

I also use 1920x1080 although I've tried out other settings and it still does it. I have my mouse plugged in but I play with controller so I don't think it's that. I've noticed with AO ON it doesn't do it anymore but fps are too low.

I also play on my HD TV and I was thinking maybe it was because I'm using HDMI instead of HDMI/DVI like the manual says. It also does it on my brother's HD TV. So it may be possible that it's the 5870 card..

Nah the one with the camera moving around with mouse/controller is 1 of the 2 problems I have. I still have the usual shaky screen while walking on certain part of the map. It's really bothers me when I play ff14 so I haven't touch it yet, trying to figure out what to do still.

Edit: Tried everything but it seems like AO solves our problems but my GPU usage goes up to 99% and my fps drops down to 22% in outside of town.... I hope this isn't a game problem because knowing SE they will take a longgg time to do anything about if if they decide to fix it.

    Hey Man,

I have the same problem. I also found that when this happens you see a lot of visual tearing. I can't find any sort of option in game or through settings to turn on V-sync but that DOES help a little bit. I had to "force on" through the nvidia control panel. Hope that helps
