    this is rediculous, paradise was racing GOTY 2008, why in gods name would there be no sequel in the works???

    They're a subsidiary of EA, so EA gets to make the calls. Regardless, the Burnout team seems to be doing their best with the new Hot Pursuit, and you can see a fair amount of 'Burnout' in the game itself, just the focus is now on cops vs. speeders. It has the open-map idea too I believe from E3 reports.

    Meh, Paradise broke all racing preconceptions with sandbox gameplay, hot pursuit is just another spin on timed, structured course racing bleh-ness.

    I agree with this 100%

    I'm sure NFS will be good, but Burnout: Paradise is my favorite racing game ever, by a long shot. I have never been that much into a racing game that didn't have machine guns and rocket launchers involved. Also, they supported the shit out of that game.

    Fuck Paradise. Older Burnout games were better, drop the shitty sandbox shit and give us real courses back, I fucking love racing down the exact same roads the entire game!
