    Umm FFXI was as high as 700k and might still be in that range.

    Yeah, in its prime it was 500-600k I think, now it's more like 300-350k

    I don't understand, why do people care about subscription numbers?
    Either you like the game or you don't, who cares about what thousands of people you don't even know do.

    Too early to condemn it yet, FFXI's highest subscription was during ToAU days. I'm sure the game will be much more polished around PS3 release/first expansion pack release, and if it's anything like XI theres a long time to go

    Number do nothing for you right now, but they indicate you where the game is heading in the future. Complete revamp of the system because peopled hated it? Is the price going to be lowered?...etc
