Why do 10 and 20 leves give so much SP? I soloed 30s at rank 20 and got nowhere near those figures.

I'm confused... So you can do the rank 10 quests when your level 1? Can someone elaborate prz? D:
Leve availability isn't based on your current class' rank, it's based on your highest ranking class' rank.
Wow 1-25 in a day... I'm doing something wrong. Took me two fatigue resets to get thm to 26 granted I usually hit fatigue and then switch classes(stopped at 20, about to stop at 26 due to fatigue). Do people just power through it? I noticed hitting fatigue and leveling on other classes does nothing to lower fatigue either.
I noticed this too, yet it was supposed to be one of the features of it. With battle classes it's easy to just power through surplus, but it starts to suck too much when you reach -30% SP. That's when I stop. So that's 270k SP per week. Without surplus I'd have got around 300k. It doesn't sound too bad when you look at it like that.
270k xp before you hit 30%? I thought it was like 80k before you hit fatigue, then 10k at 10%; you hit 20% fatigue, another 10k, another 10%? 270k seems like A LOT for 30%. Hell 270k I'd be able to go from 20-30 np.
I'm pretty sure it's 90k per surplus rank, in fact it has to be otherwise I'd be losing 10% more every hour I SP on doblyns with your figures (I get 10-13k per hour depending on surplus rank). I've definitely done 32-38 this week and 22-32 last week however and that's a lot of SP. Doblyns are giving me more than 30% less than when I started but that's because I've ranked up too.
So a level 1 class can do a rank 10 leve and they wont get destroyed by the mobs?
Oh wow, guess I was just confused on how it worked. Well that basically changes everything...
Are there more than 3 "Special Mission" faction leves for Horn and Hand? I did the third one and I'm wondering if I should stop working on Horn and Hand credits hoping a fourth leve pops up.
Quick question for you Mio (or anyone else who may know) -- I grabbed this leve while it was offering Lancer marks, which I assume just like other regional leves need completed on the correct class. My lancer is only 22 though, do you think it's possible to complete it on that class? Was there aggro or other problems nearby? And how hard was it, or any details you can share?
Thanks!
While I haven't done them all, I haven't come across any Horn and Hand faction leve that was actually dangerous. The one in question is most definitely simple solo for just about any rank that can get inside Mun-Tuy Cellars safely. So yeah, your Lancer will be more than enough. It was a very simple leve that involves secretly following the suspect in question until a glowing node appears. I even fucked up once during it and it pretty much just "started over." Just be careful as the target can randomly turn around and take a number of steps backwards towards you.
What are the best leves/most efficient way to level past 20? I have Archer and Marauder at Rank 20 right now and I want to get them higher but I want to do it efficiently. I don't want to waste my 8 levels/36 hours on ones that aren't worth the sp they give. Additionally, what are some good lolgrind spots? Are Coblyns in Nanawa my only good grinding option?
Some R20 leves that are decent:
The Devilet Inside (Camp Horizon) [lalafell assassins/wisps/devilets]
The Wights' Stuff (Camp Horizon) [skeletons, this one is difficult, don't go high on stars]
Securing Horizon's Edge (Camp Horizon) [humanoids, this one is difficult, don't go high on stars]
Save the Lettuce, Save the World (Camp Bloodshore) [dodos, beware breath!]
Obviously start in Ul'dah and grab the Horizon leves and run out there and do 'em. Always make sure you kill the max amount of mobs on D.I leve. If you pop the Devilets, just run away and kill the rest of the assassins and wisps. You can really rack up SP on this one. After that you can head out Bloodshore, or just grind in Nanawa once you are high-20s. Save favor for the top three always. I would start DI on 2 star and the rest on 1 star until you are in the mid-20s. Then add a star to the leves every 3-4 average ranks in your party. Continue to do these in the loop on 4-5 star until the low-mid 30s while doing the Rank 30 leves to fill out the 8. Helps if you have everyone set a favorite in Horizon and Bloodshore to split Anima costs.
And as soon as you can pickup R30 leves, check these out. Start on 1-2 stars in low-mid 20s, then 3 stars until your whole group is ~33-35. Add a star every 2-3 average ranks in your group thereafter:
Necrologos: Adamantine Wills (Nanawa Mines) [you can start this one on 2-3 stars since the targets are Coblyns]
Necrologos: Levinshower (Nophica's Wells) [sheep targets]
Necrologos: Lightsome Verdure (Cedarwood) [gnats, be careful on star selection.]
Necrologos: Inferno (Cassiopeia Hollows) [slug targets, watch AoE]
Necrologos: The Moons' Mistress (Mun-Tuy Cellars)
What my group did was we all start grabbed Wills and Levinshower in Ul'dah, then headed to Mines to do the former, then ported to Horizon and hoofed it to Wells. Have 2-3 people set Horizon as a favorite camp to save Anima over time. After that we had someone take us to LL, we'd grab/refresh Lightsome and Inferno, run out to Cedarwood, do Lightsome, and run to CH and do Inferno. Save favor for these 4 leves always. You can get anywhere between 7-20k doing these depending on how (un)lucky you get doing them. We rarely bother with Moons' Mistress because it's just not worth porting out to Gridania, but if we did, we would just grind afterwards (we usually do regardless).
As people have already stated, in order to make sure you maximum leve-linking, you wanna get as many people in your party with these leves, so those people who have them should never trade them in, just refresh em at the guild counter ever reset. You will fail these leves (leave one mob up and run away, abandon the leve at the aetheryte, logout, or run out of the guildleve area). If you have 6 people with all these leves, it's best to do each leve twice with 2 links each and favor. That way you double up your leves essentially. It's great to have a huge party for leves. I mean imagine you had 15 people all with the same leve. You could do that leve 4 times with 3 x3 links and 1 x2 link. It will be great bang for your buck that way.
Adamantine Wills is the one with the coblyns that are 50000000 miles away from each other right? I wouldn't pick that one.
you realize that leve alone with 4 stars+ and 4 Leve Links nets around 15k exp right?
