Has anyone gotten Deaspected crystals from gathering in Coerthas g4/g5?
I've seen several from city regions, but none from there, and don't gather enough to get any real samples going.

Short video made... I guess this would fall under random speculation, because... thats about all you can do for whats all shown in this video... is speculate it all... the mysteries... of all these rank 3,4,5 stuff + other things.

I should of added in the 2nd skill used some text like...
"I would hit it like the fist of an ANGRY GOD!" *bam*
(looks more impressive the bigger the target, would probably be the size of an entire camp hitting buffalo NM)
So this is what you've been doing?
Thanks, looks cool.
been trying to lvl thm actually, had a severe toothache over the weekend so didn't do much though ;/
Logged in and out alot to try to fix model problems a bit.
Apparently you can play as some monster models/most any NPC model (leaves room for maybe GM controlled event NM or something? haha)
Can use any gear/weapon on npc's if you can locate it too.
Does stuff break super quickly now if you wear it under-ranked? Noticing it but not remembering it being in any patch notes. And is it everything or just weapons(only noticed on weapon)?
Only thing stated was things degrade slower if optimal rank + class affinity matched.
Personally I think degrading rates match the pre-patch scenario if and only if optimal rank + affinity is not matched.
Might make logical sense if:
Not optimally ranked + Not the required class = degrading @ worse than it used to be
one of optimally ranked or required class = degrading @ equal or slightly better than it used to be
Both match = optimal degrading rate
i hope that the WS that plays at 0:47 is gonna be jump for lancer, as i haven't seen any other applicable effect for polearms.
about gear, i noticed that my weapon degrades VERY quick, even if it's at some rank above, same rank and lower rank then me.
instead, my armor loses very low % each "play session".
I hope it's just me, but that "Jump" does look AoEish. Which I'm going to dread if it is.
Personally I see a HUGE decrease in wear. I can go a couple days between repairing my scepter to which before I had to repair it ever few leves. This of course is only when you're optimal rank + class. I equipped an Ice brand + 1(rank 43 optimal) for my 42 THM and it wore very quickly. I think I got a whole 20k sp out of it before it was at 35%.
As mentioned in the comment , most of what was shown was the "highest rank" of each ability. Each of those abilities/spells/weapon skills have 3-4 ranks each in which case there probably is a single target rank version of an ability.
Randomly, the 2nd ability on the video is pretty awesome with pug... just needs the pug to do a leaping punch and then a crash on the mob making that fiery inferno! Need to find a bigger mob next time for that.
The way that R46 mystery man casts his spells may match that spell animation well actually considering he lifts 1 hand up and then thrusts forward, might make it later!
P.S. You know where to look if you want a guide/tutorial + programs for ffxiv modding as seen above (as I'm not sure on BG's stance on that type of stuff, as you can see FFXI doesn't have a .DAT section)
I know my Ornate Scepter breaks really fast compared to other weapons I'm currently using. I think a lot of the weapons that drop from the NMs have the old durability code or something because those seem to break faster than anything.
I have some knuckles that are Rank 33. I have been Rank 32 for a long time and still am. Before the patch, I could punch a lot of things before they wore out. Now, they wear out incredibly fast.
Once you're 33 they won't break fast. The new system only kicks into effect when you're the right rank and class for the gear.
Right, I was just trying to clarify my statement about how not meeting equipments' requirements now wears them down faster than they degraded before that update.
Meeting requirements: wear has been slowed.
Not meeting requirements: wear has been accelerated.
Its been slowed down a lot too. I only repair one every week, maybe once every two weeks now. But, if I use anything below my rank I have to repair every day or every other day. Really encourages optimal gear usage.
