I'd love some concrete info as my resist rates suck on my thm though I'm still only 46. I've played around with increasing int, pie, blah blah, keep magic acc rings on and its still all the same.

Stat system is bugged int and pie has little to no effect for thm. Ditch them and put points in vit and mnd.

Has anyone else been having connection troubles lately? For the past week it seems like I can DC at random.

I have. Theres absolutely nothing wrong with my internet connection since I browse stuff fine and even use other network resources while playing. FFXIV on the other hand keeps kicking me off very often (way more than usual).

Is it around the same time frame? Since for me it seems to happen around this time to noonish.

those are rated pretty bad for any form of connection stability and speed nation wide.

I havnt had much of any connection troubles. Been pretty normal for me, I play from 8est~ whenever I'm tired.

Local company. But it's not happening all the time, just seems to happen randomly in the mornings, and failing 2 leves right off the bat because of that is annoying.

There are a ton of other isp's out there (windstream is kinda small out where I live) cableone.net atm is the most popular (for now because they are throwing around the "we have 50mbps internets!" but with hidden costs...)

Has anyone seen the glory that is the "Translate it yourself" thread? Basically it's some JP guy who comes in (to the English general forums, fyi) with horrible engrish and tells everyone that they need to learn japanese and speak japanese while in the game. People are slightly offended for about a page or two and then full fledged weeabo comes out. Everyone starts google-translating and using broken japanese to apologize for "disrepectful americans" who don't make any effort to learn japanese, and start defending the guy. Shit like this makes me rage.

He's just a troll more than likely, I have an American friend who's married, lives in Osaka, teaches English classes. He says everyone he's met so far in Japan has been really nice to him.
