What's the fastest way to exp now in 1.18? I remember reading something about abandoning leves? How about partying?

I'm sure other people have much more experience and thorough insight. I recently restarted after a ~6 month break. Here's what I'm currently doing:
* I find the highest SP rate is from plowing through leves (I'm rank 25-26 doing rank 30 leves on 1 star; the end-of-leve bonus is about 1700-1900; this end-of-leve bonus appears to scale up as you rank up / move onto the next set of leves)
* Between those, I've been grinding on mobs about my rank or slightly lower for efficiency; This only sort-of-works for me because the server is pretty empty.
As I said, that's what I've been doing for the past couple days. Others may have found a more effective approach.
Erp, thank you
What recipes would have a lower optimal/required rank than the lowest rank that could craft it? (out of curiosity)
Can't think of any off hand but there must be some if they bothered to mention it.
I believe there are some r20ish H2H that require 40+ TAN.
But it also works the other way, with say some of the bronze plate set being craftable by ARM~22
Anyone else d/cing like crazy? I have d'/ liked 15 times in the past two days. I maybe d/c'd once in six months prior.
Are imperial raids on R20 camps random? Or does it happen at a set time?
Grinded in Gridania last night with a "Light Party." Not bad exp off of Wights in the underground zone (can't think of the name right now).
Also, any good/awesome Armorer grinding guides out there? Not having any luck in my search... heh
What does the message "Repair failed. Unable to return item." mean? I'm assuming it means that the person asking for the repair has a full inventory... Is this the case?
I think that's correct.
Is there a reason XIV is always set to low priority in the process list? Does it matter? I know you can't change it because it just reverts back.
What do people usually spend their points on for tanking? Besides VIT of course.
EDIT: Grammar
it "could" matter if you run anything processor intensive (or a bad pc) like say... you have a fraps video and starte encoding it while playing FFXIV, your ffxiv might freeze/lockup/rollovernaddie
FFXIV is somewhat intensive on its own and it was probably done so if you play window mode etc, when you try to open a browser to lookup stuff, it won't take some persons PC 5min to open the browser etc as FFXIV is set to lowest "background" process, so anything you do will have priority over FFXIV.
Anyone know if SE nerfed the drop rates on the NM's? I was running a bunch of them today with some awesome LS folks, and we were pretty hard pressed for drops from Old Six-Arms, Prince of Pestilence, etc. We went 1/20 if we ever got a drop, so nothing compared to what yg has them listed % wise.
I've gone generally 1/1~1/5 on most lower NMs (Daddy Longlegs/Pyrausta/Nest Commander/Queen Bolete/etc.)... with a 1/10 on Jackanapes. (This is all within the last week or two)
Bad luck is luck that is bad.
They definitely reduced the number of random gear drops off the NMs, but the droprates of their actual unique item seem to be pretty similar to before. One of my friends came back from a break, and we had no trouble getting him all the NM items he wanted in an evening. Probably just bad luck, we camped Old Six Arms for the gloves for my ARC and it took us a good couple of hours to get the drop.
