Anyone have a list of what each targeting type does?
Anyone have a list of what each targeting type does?
Targetting modes on Pad:
Mode A: Default to "All" targets. Holding auto-run button and selecting Triangle (All), Circle (Enemy), X (Party), Square (Friendly) swaps between target selector type.
Mode B: Up & Down on d-pad selects the target modes P-E-F (there is no "All" on this mode). Left & Right tabs through targets.
Mode C: Default to "All" and cannot be changed.
Know the buttons for Target Mode A on a keyboard?
According to the 1.17a patch notes: http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/104...es-(04-25-2011), targetmode A is for pad only. I guess since you can just select what you want with a mouse and on pad you cannot.
Is it known what the potency of Raging Strike compared to Ferocity is? The recast is so much less than that of Ferocity that I find it hard for them to be equal. Has any testing been done anywhere?
I can't prove anything, but I feel like Ferocity is stronger. Raging Strike is awesome for the cool down, but seeing as I rarely stack them together I use both to make sure all my WS do good damage.
Ferocity > Raging Strike > Blindside. For Arc, Raging Strike is about equal with Ferocity and for Pug Blindside is better than Raging Strike.
That makes me wonder, since I never play PGL, do Blindside and Follow Through work together? Assume face-tanking.
I had always heard that it works and was actually some of the best PGL damage... at least a few patches back.
It's great if the mob hasn't got a dangerous frontal AOE otherwise you end up taking unnecessary damage (at least now, before AoE cures it didn't matter if you got hit as long as you don't die). If you're tanking or soloing it's great though.
So I just started to kill some time, and I'm probably about to ask some really dumb questions. Apologies in advance.
I started as a Pugilist. It looks like most of my equipment requires Weaving for creation or repair, so what would be a good way to level that craft? Most of the recipes I looked at had secondary training that required Guild Marks to get, but there are no local Guildleves for me to take apparently.
Good way to level up? And, should I be focusing on one class at a time, or should I leave Pugilist at 10 for now, hunt down a wand and start on Conjurer?
And last, for now; how the hell do I get to Northern Thanalan from Central Thanalan? I checked Eorzapedia, but I've been running around 23, 24 for probably 15 minutes now and I cannot find this mythical tunnel. The only one I found led to a dead end with some Snapping Shrews.
For the passage from central to north check http://ffxivmaps.com/ the thanalan map has the passage marked (gray line which starts in the east)
You can craft stuff without the secondary training the crafts are just a bit harder that way. Leves are the best way to level especially in the lower levels.
Or you can just follow the yarn > cloth route most of the time like start with Hempen Yarn save them and then later on make Undyed Hempen Cloth and so on....
Leves and xp parties if you can find some at your level are the best way to level. You can level pugilist only if you want to but it is alot easier to get some buffs from other classes like Ferocity or Raging Strike which
are really easy to get. Getting Cure or Sacrifice (or both) doesnt hurt either specially if your soloing, you can get them really fast doing leves with the acording classes.
Couple more questions then. How fast do my leves refresh themselves? Do Local and Regional all draw from the same pool? Speaking of local leves, why are there no local Weaving levels available, but there are some for, say, Armorcraft?
Leves refresh every 36hrs theres leves cooldown timers/clocks on almost any community sites (like zam or yg).
Local leves and regional leves do not draw from the same pool both have a pool of 8 leves per refresh.
Leves are generated at random if there is no leve for weaving at your level just wait for the next reset, or go to another city and check there.
You can not see leves which you do not meet the requirement for say you wont be able to see any 10+ leves when your lvl 1.
Anyone got a rip of the raid battle music?
Mog House :3
Looks pretty familiar.

Wait... what?
Well, it's a room inside the Gridanian inn (The Roost). But it sure as hell could be used as an easy skeleton for future player housing as they've been hinting at.
