Yes, Cid mentions it in a CS (believe mio knew that, was referencing it as evidence of the VII relations).

Yeah, Cid Garlond mentions it. His assistant basically tells him that all of his theories are coming true and a very concerned Cid says "Meteor..."

    edit: yeah^

Does anyone else get the feeling that Notorious Monsters vary in level (by like 3~4) each time they spawn, just like any other normal mob?

I've been soloing a bunch of them... and for the ones that are more difficult this seems to be more obvious. I can have one pop be relatively flawless, evading everything they do, landing all my attacks, landing my shitty spells... the next pop will constantly hit me, resist my spells, and generally rape me in the butthole... repeatedly until I either manage to kill it or someone else comes along and does it.

Is there a reasonably simple recipe for me to skill on at Weaver 15 (with no training manuals and leathercrafting 10)? I can't reliably finish any of the rank 20 leves (the only success I've had out of a six tries is Outfitting the Stone, and only barely), and I've turned my attention instead to burning them on Leathercrafting. While I'm at it, I may as well ask if there's a simple recipe to skill Leathercrafting with, as it's at rank 10.

Also, would someone be able to explain to me the advantages of abilities like Fulfilment and Masterpiece? I seem to fail just as often with them active.

Is it a known bug that macros don't recognize Pierce in any way?

Pretty sure it is, I have the same issue and I remember people talking about it months ago as well.

Yeah, something to do with another ability in the dats (unused in game) with the same name I think.

What's the order I should get the Pugilist guild mark abilities in? Finally got enough marks for on and I'd rather not waste them.

My preference would be Pummel > Flurry > Prime Conditioning

Pummel costs 20 MP, but it's only a 30 second recast and gives a pretty hefty bit of TP if it lands. Flurry is mostly just free 'meh' damage and some TP once per minute. Prime Conditioning is a great, high-priority trait for all classes, but if you're actually going to play on Pugilist, the attacks are more important.

I just finished the Just for Kecks local leve in Ul'Dah (the rank 20 one that wants Cotton Kecks) and got no guild marks. Am I missing something?

It's still possible to not get Guild Marks from local leves in the appropriate city-state. From my experience since that patch, I'd say I've been receiving Guild Mark rewards ~75% of the time. It was never made a guaranteed reward, but it's pretty damn common when you're doing the correct local leves.

Also, you can receive Guild Marks from Rank-15 local leves and up. (Just in case you thought the minimum was Rank-20.)

Ah. I've not seen any Weaver leaves at rank 15. They're all either 10, 1 or 20. Perhaps I'm just unlucky with the selection available to me?

Also, it seems my targeting keeps changing itself to "Friendly", and I have no idea how to change it back short of logging out.

They come in sections of 1-10-20 but if you select say 10 youll get 10-20 leves and then 20 is 20-35 leves i believe and 40 is 40-45 leves

I disagree, Prime Conditioning should be your absolute first ability, and it's a trait that should never, ever leave your bar lol

Prime Conditioning is by far the most powerful trait in the entire game, especially since Firm Conviction got nerfed. I'm with Elcura on this one.

It has never left my bar since I bought it because I understand how much better it is than every other trait.

However, +10% on cures isn't going to make a big enough difference until higher levels to currently pass up new attacks if he's in his 20s. Which is likely due to having just accrued his first batch of marks. Its universal cross-class usefulness is one thing... but if he's only focusing playing on Pugilist, having low-recast and free TP-generating attacks like Pummel and Flurry is going to make a greater difference when playing as Pugilist than bumping Second Wind from 250 HP to 275 HP.

Yes, if Pugilist isn't something he cares all that much about and is just working on it for carry-over abilities, Prime Conditioning would most definitely take precedence for very obvious reasons.

Even at level 20 I noticed the difference between people with Prime and people without. And it's not like PGL is a class that never gets hit. And if he's at the level where he can buy pummel and flurry (30 and 36), then it's more important than having it at 20. Especially since at 36 you get Second Wind II, which makes Prime Conditioning even more worthwhile (then we're talking 500+, suddenly it's more important). There's no reason I would ever get pummel and flurry if I was already at 36 with no other PGL abilities. Not to mention it's the cheapest trait you can get. Hell, how you even get that far is beyond me. PGL should be at 20 for everyone regardless of what class you want to play.

Coming up on PGL it isn't a big deal because you're forced to go Prime > Pummel > Flurry.
