To clear up any confusion, I'm currently rank 24 Pugilist. The rest of my DoW/DoM classes are all below 10. >_> Should I be working on those? I was just trying to push PUG up to get through the story missions, haha.

If you only 24 then you can only get Prime Conditioning. You can't get Pummel and Flurry until you do the quests at 30 and 36. If you want to be covered on the way to 50, just get jobs to 20.
Pretty sure targetmode A can't be adjusted on keyboard.
Pummel is unlocked at 20, Flurry at 30.
If he doesn't have a mage past lvl 10 he's probably not using magic to heal much. It's obviously highly recommended for everyone to lvl THM and CON to 20 at least for siphon MP, stygian/shock spikes, sac/cure II, and pro/shell. But if he doesn't have any intention of doing so (even if he really, really, reaaaaallllyyyyy should) he's probably better off killing the mob before it kills him.
That said I've never found guild marks in general hard to come by, it shouldn't take more than a few leve cycles to buy both prime and pummel if you beef up guild mark leves properly. Especially since PUG is his only job high enough to collect marks he's more likely to have them as available rewards instead of marks for other jobs cluttering up the leve selection.
Alright, let's set it straight. Pummel you can always buy, Prime you buy at rank 20, Flurry you buy at rank 30, affinity trait is 36. Been ages since I bought abilities so I forgot about the non-quest one. Sorry for all the misinformation lol.
Woops, yea I had it wrong too. Forgot it was the traits that were unlocked at 20 (the secondary attack options always there) which I probably should have remembered since I leveled every job to 20 asap to collect them.
Edit: I can't recommend much as far as places to solo mobs outside leves, for lvls 1-15 you can pretty much just run around the starter areas and kill anything 5-10 levels above. There's a bunch of lvl 15 moles north of the ul'dah starter aether (name escapes me atm) that are for a quest so their lvl is static, they're decent to grind on for a while. Other than that I've done pretty much all exping via leves and behests. When you get into the 20s you can start targeting beastmen camps I think tho.
Has anyone ever encountered an achievement not showing up on Lodestone History? An aetherite ive visited so many times doesnt show up
Is there any rhyme or reason to which leves are available every cycle? Kinda bummed that I only have 3 Horizon leves today, and none of them offer Pugilist marks as a reward (although Just One of the Dodos has an 8k gil reward...). Also, which camp comes after Horizon? I tried running to Bluefrog once but I got owned by a rank 55 mob on the way (an antlion I think?).
Nanawa Mines and Nophica's Wells are the rank 30 camps in Thanalan.
Obsidian: Because at level 20 leves you only get 3 per city. You'll have to go to gridania and Limsa to fill up to 8. At 25, the level 30s open up and there's two camps per city, so a max of 6 are available. Same goes with 40 (which open up at 35), there are no level 50 leves, except for some special mission factions.
So far, Bluefrog is only for a drop off of local leves (not sure about factions, I haven't seen any there myself). You'll eventually head towards BrokenWater, which is on the Drybone side.
Can someone explain why people are paying millions for templar haubs while vintage has better stats and NQs go for a few 100k?
Same to be said for aeolian scimitars vs iron longswords. Iron+1 costs a few 100k and has better stats in everything but parrying (which GLA gets no use out of), NQ scimitars are 2m (could get iron+2 for that).
Mostly just availability. Remember also that just cuz somone's selling it for 2m doesn't mean someone's paying that much.
Prime example: I've been trying to sell an aeolian scimitar +1 off and on now for 4.5m but nobody's biting.
Well someone's buying them, they come and go from different sellers week to week (except the people selling NQs for 4m).
Could just be players are trading them or using instead of selling and others are coming to market.
Since the leve changes, the fnm gear has become a bit more common. That trend is likely to continue for awhile until we get additional ways to spend faction credits. On the same token the prices should tank too. Quite frankly very few pieces of those sets are worthwhile, but the few that are should be bigger hits with the changes to the significance of attributes in 1.19.
I understand the rarity it's the better, cheaper alternative gear that confounds me.
