I found my copy on Amazon for 16 new but I guess that's back when it was held in even less regard. If you can, get a used one, just make sure you contact the seller and make sure the key isn't tied to an SE account. Not like you need the disc for any reason as you can just DL the client, what you're paying for is the product key. If that's been used, it's worthless.

Well I just chose the worst time to try and figure out crafting. Majority of the guides are out of date courtesy of the update.

Do I have to go to the guilds to get recipes or something? I'm not really in the mood for guess & check. I'm mainly taking up leathercraft as I want new gear for my THM. Still using the same shit I started out with at rank 14 now.

I also want to shoot whoever designed the Wards. Worst system ever, and worst search engine I've ever seen. Couldn't find a single piece of lower level armor in 20min of looking around the various wards districts.

Market has recently crashed or expired so give it time for people to get their retainers back up. Items won't show unless its been listed atleast once then it'll just say 0(zero) for that items avaliability if none is up

Yea, the markets are crashing like once an hour, sometimes less, so finding gear for now'll probably be impossible.

Take a look at any quests you haven't done to see if any give gear until they get that up and fixed?

How does Owl Bow (drops from Jackanapes) fare against other bows? Or, how long should I use it?

That's kinda' a hard question to answer right now since every non-rare/ex weapon now has better stats than they used to. I haven't even seen a decent list of all the new stats.

Just rerolled last night, how long can I hang onto my gear it throws on you from the start before upgrading? I have ~300k or so from my character I had, so I have a little bit of starter money, but not a ton.

It's pretty much shite, the only thing it ever had going for it was accuracy but now acc barely matters and damage is all that's important. Get a longbow.

I'd immediately buy the next level up weapon, but wouldn't bother with new armor til 10 which may even be too low. On the other hand it might be worth it just for the materia to upgrade more frequently. Do lower level items spiritbind faster?

Fuck, they really did make stats matter now.

I just blazed through the lvl10 leves that gave me major trouble before solo, even though I have a third of the health I used to due to the new fixed-stats. The 30fps limit is helping my PC a lot also thanks to the game's fucked up priorities in streaming information, much more playable outdoors. Cities are still a mess though, wish I could cap it lower to 10-15 for those.

Any decent ways to farm gil? I've not sold anything yet, hoarding everything. The rank 10 weapons aren't exactly cheap for a beginner.

Best bet at a low level is probably to sell shards/crystals. I don't know what people are buying them for nowadays, but they are always needed.
