Dated gear was a majority of gear before 1.19's recipe revamp. Only thing you can't do with dated gear is add materia to it, attributes might be different for dated gear as well.

Anyone noticed weird mob detection/aggro after patch with mules?

I'm power leveling a mule, as long as I don't have the mule's window up aggro mobs just seem to walk around it and not aggro'ing while I slaughter them on main but if I switch to the mules window to like equip something they will all aggro it and rape the mule. Mobs are 1-2 levels higher than my mule where this is occuring.

I don't think everything got a new synth/stats, some items just don't have synths anymore (well they do for now, but they produce Dated gear)

Some of the non-dated vesions of gear had their classes and stats completely rearranged.

For example, ___ tights are no longer for all classes and no longer have crafting stats. They are now for mages and have MP and such.

Question: Say I want to upgrade my Rosewood Fishing Rod +1 into a Gilded Rosewood Fishing Rod +1...

In order to do so, I'll need all HQ materials now. I have the HQ rod... so do I need an Electrum Ingot +3 and Shark Oil +3? Or would +1s or +2s for those materials do?

Also, will the resulting item be shown as a +1 in your crafting interface if all the materials meet the HQ needs?

HQs are not guaranteed until 1.20.

Herrrp, fuuuuck. Are HQ +2/3s even possible for new recipes? From the immediate looks of it, I have only seen +1s of any new equipment... and +3s of new materials.

Any idea what the minimum company leve level is? Need 1400 points @r25 because I stupidly bought a Limsa Chainmail for the looks, before deciding on it lol.

The first Company Leve's are level 30, but you need to be a little higher to have a chance to actually complete it

They also give horrible points, like 40-60 seals (x2 until current event ends) per

Do the Lv25 dungeon + a few of the quest. You will get more than enough points.

are there any starting guides , im level 17 pug ( 10 lancer) , was wondering were to exp , and how i find a party and if i should try doing any of the new content. also any tips on gear / how to make money lol. basically i need to know wtf to do and how to play at this point. also any noob friendly ls's on rab?

There are 2 ( at least for Ul'duh ) quests at r25 that give 300 ( times 2 ) seals. Both involve some killing and was manageable at r27. Should be able to find them by running around in town and looking for question marks.

There's also a quests for 700 seals (x2 now of course), but it might be hard depending on the Company. In Ul'dah it sends you to Amal'jaa Fortress and that place is full of parties atm so I could just sneak around and do what I was supposed to unscathed.
