I think people are reading a bit too much into the UI in that pic.
It's probably 90% conceptual, I doubt the finalized interface will resemble it very much.

I'm not a fan of that sci-fi/high-tech typeface they have been obsessed with last 3 big installments or so. It doesn't belong in Eorzea. Ivalice/Pulse/Spira sure.
at what level would i be able to solo some of the NM's in the game *level 30 gear NM's*
Solo? 45+ depending on the NM.
Ever since the patch I'm unable to summon my retainer in the wards, any ward. My character gets locked up like the retainer is about to pop, but nothing happens and I'm forced to crash the game because I can't do anything at all except moving the camera around.
Don't even know what to do about this issue.
I had the same exact issue, asked here as well got nothin, went to SE's support site they told me "idk reinstall bye".
It only happened on one character with one retainer, and only in certain wards of Ul'dah. I just avoided those wards on that char and haven't run into it again.
The Lv.30~35 gear NMs are a lot easier than they used to be since 1.19's new algorithms. Downy Dunstan used to actually require I pay attention and cure myself often from his Lullaby bubble... now I just treat him like the rest of the Brutal Sheep I farm. I would guess somewhere in the mid-30s to start on the easier ones like Pyrausta/Nest Commander/Queen Bolete/etc.
>.> hmm so theres no gearing yourself before you level then?
HA HA just try'd to solo pyrausta as 26 plg , NOPE hits for 300+
gdi it seems like the only things to do in game are solo leve or sit in town with my thumb up my ass for the off chance theres a party with my level range in it
Oh I did, but I was always on Pugilist... which made the average shitty puk almost incapable of hitting me. Also, accidentally getting an auto-attack off on him while he sleeps means he prematurely pops. D:
Yeah, it was possible even before, but now that you can't "evade" anymore (miss onry), it's even easier to spam Haymaker/Jarring Strike/Simian Thrash on something strong by aggroing something super weak nearby. I haven't quite found it to be powerful enough to call it an "exploit" though, since you'll generally burn through your TP pretty quick and be waiting on that anyways.
Ah, I did it on GLA so it was pretty easy to get hit. Can keep yourself from waking it by turning around as soon as it readies the move.
And yea PGL is quite a bit better now, god knows what kind of screwy system determined what constituted a miss vs an "evade". Was much needed imo since the only other WS you have to use is Concussive and the occasional stacked Victimize.
is it worth the time to buy every pug ability from the guild or should i only get the offensive ones?
Prime Conditioning is a must, the rest are required if you play PGL full time.
k that was the first one i got, im 9k away from having everything i can buy for my rank. what exactly aare the stat conversion ones used for?
They're basically just stat boosts (one goes up the other goes down). Pretty much defunct now, usually the last things you buy and not worth it over actual abilities.
Anyone notice in the new concept art how the aethyrite crystals turned red and look like they're being sucked into the sky? I wonder if that has something to do with meteor?
