How are crafting leves now? I haven't been able to log on lately, are they still like they were 1.19 or do they actually give you rank appropriate leves now?

Just as random as always, but at least now you don't have to take shitty low-level ones to fill your levequest reset quota, can just stockpile them and use them on high level ones at leisure.
Did they ever fix it so that you can fullscreen XIV and alt tab out without it freaking out, or is there a windower ala XI? I don't really want to play in bullshit mode if I'm going to start again.
there is a windower, and is pug really as far behind as im seeing. im in a party right now and im doing 60-100* 140ish crits on concussive, the lancers are poping off 400+ doomspike 2's like its going out of style. what gives does pug ever pick up or will i be this far behind even @ 50?
link to said XIV windower?
ffevo dont think i can post the link
:s not sure how much I trust that source now adays but I'll check it out when i get home. I know where it is![]()
The FFXI windower creator made a XIV one, all it does however is remove the borders and let you play in windowed mode set you your resolution and have it be pseudo full-screen though. FFEVO is alright, I used it for a bit. It does the same thing basically.

the thousand maws of w/e is not trioable with 34 pug and 28 con 28 archer... the boss is a BEAST is there any reward for defeating the boss?
You get more chests with gear depending on speed you ran through and the number of conditions you fulfill. There are a total of 5 chests possible, and there are some pretty nice stuff out of those chests.
is the game down i cant log in edit nvm worked on the 3rd try.
I'm returning after a break since launch to give the game a try... Started a new character and am now Lv22, looking at grand companies and could use some help. :/ From reading patch notes it sounds like there's a decent amount of content that requires a group of the same grand company, but it also seems like each company is geared towards specific classes. My questions are: Is there enough company-specific content to warrant my friend and I joining the same company to play together, or is that something we shouldn't even worry about? And, if I choose a company that isn't geared towards my class, will it screw me over at Lv50 not having access to the green weapon?
Have they ever mentioned a possibility of letting us change company later on? :/ I hate these permanent decisions...
The permanent company shit is really lame. If you plan on buying any of the weapons or body pieces of different nations, it's in your best interest to not join a company yet... which is fucking terrible design. I'm hoping for an eventual expensive way to purchase the items that you get locked out of, maybe something like +50% cost. I haven't heard a word about it, but I hope Sonomaa/Ragns maybe mention my question regarding Yoshi's plans for more or less permanent lock-out decisions down the line.
There's no company-exclusive content per se, you just need to do junk like company leves (which are all solo) and caravan escorts in your own nation's areas.
For stuff like Ifrit there's a loot bonus of some kind if everyone is the same company but likewise if you have people from all 3.
Basically, go with whichever one you like stylistically. Don't freak over the stuff you buy with seals, it can't be socketed anyway.
Can we change the title to "how you liking that paid beta phase 6" when it goes pay?
kekeke. I intended on doing that when subscriptions start.
can the imperial devices instance be done more then 3 times? or is it really just not worth doing? i want to kinda take a break from rushing to 50 to try it out.
You can go in there as many times as you want.
Once you have completed it, you can enter as many times as you like, whenever you have 2~4 people in a party, regardless of quest status. Both the instances are this way. Have fun farming the chests in Thousand Maws. I've observed like a 5% drop rate... or lower.
It's a fun little instance for a small group of newer players as it has a pretty straight-forward task (collect 4 photocells > unlock device > repeat) and a challenging boss battle (for the level). It's a pretty good, infinite source of exp mobs for Lv.25s as well (grind through > return > exit > re-enter > repeat).
Working on my GLD to 50, but when i'm done with that, which mage job should i work on? The only difference I see between CON and THA is that Con is element based, and Tha is dark/light based? Is there another difference or are they the same for the most part?
