How exactly do Grand Company Provisioning missions work? I noticed it'll say like 80/6000 yew branches but I certainly didn't turn in no yew branches, is that a serverwide tally?

• GC Supply/Provisioning missions are just things where you turn in X number of Y item for Z seals.
• The tally is serverwide, despite how they worded it. Once they reach capacity, they'll refuse to accept any more items of that type. I don't know if you get anything fancy for being the one to make them reach capacity, but I doubt it.
• The items requested change every Sunday at 10AM CST.
• Each GC requests a different set of items, and you can only turn in items to the GC you're fully signed up with.
• Currently there are only 4 sets of items that the GC can request and they just cycle through them.

The GC Supply/Provisioning missions are set to be changed (additional items + reward revisions) with the upcoming patch. Whether they're adding more items available for turn in or they're just adding more item sets to cycle through, remains to be seen.

I have been compounding GC Supply/Provisioning mission data on the DoL website and will continue to after this patch.

Back when I was still building those GC item lists, when I hit the week where the Maelstrom was requesting Mistletoe, I had a few to turn in. It had been only 7.5 hours since the item set change, and someone had already turned in all 3600 that they were accepting; there were no additional items. Unless... perhaps you have to fill up all 3 items in that category to get new items? That would suck.

You have seen the capacity met? I have busted my ass on some provisioning shit in the past and have never seen any totals come anywhere near full capacity... And I'm pretty sure Palamecia currently is one of the more populated/active servers.

I should've screenshotted it. Only 7.5 hours since the change and that shit was filled up. 3600 mistletoes... traded 3 at a time. I think I would have gone crazy if that was me. The most of any item I've ever traded in one sitting was ~175 (3 at a time). I can't wait for the ability to give them a bunch of items at once; reaching capacity shouldn't be as rare with that in place (and higher seal caps, more to spend them on, etc.).

Can't wait for Engineering Manual II !! Starting to wish I'd joined the Twin Adder just so I could replenish my Engineering Manuals without wasting anima while I spam my CRP/ALC leves in Gridania.

I ended up handing in like 300 of some fucking fish and it ended up being like 500/1800 or some crap by the time it reset. I think that was as close as any that I saw got. And yes, holy shit that took a long fucking time to turn in and was miserable to bother with. I wouldn't have even bothered if it wasn't for the double-seals bonus at the time and I haven't done it since because of the lack of trading quantities at a time, so I am eager for that addition, especially with the 50% seal increase and the multitude of new items to be bought.

Are company seals supposed to be this painful to get? Seems like 100 for a leve allowance is harsh.

It's not the allowance that bothers me, it's the 15min used per leve.

Unless there are faster ones than the "defend the NPC" ones and I'm doing it wrong.

Find cheap yet high GC seal rewarding Supply/Provisioning item(s)
Purchase and take item(s) to GC counter

Your mileage may vary; the GC seal rewards for Supply/Provisioning items are a pittance, but at least it's not a huge time eater like the leves.

The old one's were only defend NPC or kill as many as possible, both in 15min so nothing to do it faster. I wonder if the new Leve's are similar.

New leves require you to be Sergeant 3rd Class which is annoying because I want to do something other than defend a dumb miner and kill 30,000 bombs for 15 minutes.

So I logged on after the patch to do a quick leve as my 35 THM and it was very weird. First off, it is now very difficult to solo leves with the removal of aoe spells, sleep, and thunder spikes. Blizzara and Fira are AOE but they drain a ton of MP fast and the mobs take a bit of spells to kill. SS is also nerfed since its subbed so that does not last long either. Time to find some new strategies....

Ok, I was able to do the new GC leve 40 in Hathali and it was even longer than the old ones Has you running around poking elementals to find one with a crystal, kill it, then use crystals on the same elementals to find hidden eyes and kill 4 of them. The reward is the same, so it actually sucks when this level gets picked for you, lol.

Is Great Buffalo the hardest of the 4 NMs? (Buffalo, Dodore, Mosshorn, Uraeus) Myself and my friend (con) are trying to see if we can kill any of 'em for the achievement, we just tried buffalo and obviously died a horrible death. Wondering if the others are just as hard.

pre 1.20 GB was a joke... was killing with 3 regularly in about 7 minutes. With no DoTs now, i can see that fight dragging out a bit. Lancer combos should work well though.

Yup, I recall someone saying they got like 100 exp for a simple minigame-less dye. I'm assuming it's on par with repairing now.

You can avoid all this by just attacking everything til the 4 eyes pop and kill those eyes. This is actually the fastest of them all. Can complete in under 5 mins easy depending on job/star.

How do you do Ifrit with THMs? I keep on hearing this is the new best class for it, but I don't see it. I was in two groups that tried yesterday and both timed out (or would have, had we survived for longer). Using lancers (combos until 75% or 50% and then doom spikes and chaos thrusts at 3000TP) still worked best for us.

Is anyone willing to share detailed experiences after the patch?

SE must be the only company that would make a fight harder after a big part of the community is done with it and has moved on. This fight is incredibly frustrating now. No chainspell+raise means you can't afford to bring people who are bad or are still learning the fight if you want to win (which sucks, because most decent players I know are already done with it), and 15+ mins per attempt means the fight is a gigantic waste of time if you lose (even if you win, really).
