I might be wrong, but you're doing a huge jump from 400 to 1k![]()
So is there a way to cast an offensive spell on a monster without having to confirm that i want to cast the spell onto the monster?
Macro it with <t>..? Just like FFXI.
As I type this, there are 779 people on Figaro. Of these, only 109 are of any language besides JP. It's 1am on Monday in Japan, 8-11AM in North America, and Late afternoon-evening in Europe. So a relatively neutral time I'd imagine. That said Figaro has always been heavily skewed towards JPs. It's also one of the highest population servers. So take that for what it's worth. Maybe the highest population server has over 1000 on at any given moment, but the only time Figaro might ever reach that number is JP primetime.
5pm PST yesterday I tallied ~470 people on Fabul, ~250 being in Uldah, and we're supposed to be a low pop server.
Pugilist: Ifrit's Claws or Murderous Mogfists?
[8 more base damage, roughly 10 actual damage per hit boosted on AA/Simian vs highest-end mobs, additional damage procs] vs [0.2 delay advantage and self-healing like 10 HP a hit ~50% of the time, negligible(?) crit boost]
There's more to it than that but that's the cut-and-dry version. Assuming Ifrit's wins.
I'd stick if Ifrit. Moogle are more for solo/lowman IMO.
I remember a parse someone did of sipahi gloves showing them to be borked, was it crit+ gear that was broken overall or just the gloves? (I don't think there was any other crit+ gear aside from weapons)
Was it ever fixed?
Maybe. Though TBH I never noticed a huge difference between crits when I used my ifrit's harpoon over my lolmoogle fork.
Speaking of Ifrit's vs. Moogle, what about for GLA? I assume the amount of HP absorbed isn't anything to write home about, but I'm hoping I'm wrong and make it worth while!
I'd rather just use a normal sword with VIT or Enmity Materia in it and Ifrit's Blade mostly for tanking Ifrit lol. Mogblade I'd probably just use solo.
Blerg, I was hoping it was better than just for solo.
I remember reading somewhere that the absorb HP triggers rougly 70% of the time and absorbs 25% of damage done. Doesn't trigger on weapon skill though just regular swing, so meh. Based on that information, with gla damage I'd say it isn't worth a damn in PT situation.
I don't have sword yet(or gla finished for that matter) so I can't say for sure if the %'s are correct.
I can go out and play with axe or h2h later to see what their trigger rates are though to get some exact %'s, I assume every weapon is the same.
Inb4 H2H can only proc on the off-hand.
Spoiler: show
After Spharai only triggered on main and Vere on off I am really expecting it to be the same way, lol.
Don't forget kick attacks! Those are coming, and I'm sure they'll manage to screw something up regarding those too.
Mogfists can certainly proc off of either hand. Though each hand punch is like half power anyways so yeah... I would assume kicks count too when they are released, somehow.
I would eyeball like 60-75% proc rate, 20% of damage converted to HP. On Amalj'aa leading up to and including Flamefist.
IIRC, they are considering making the mages' primal weapons proc on spells (nukes only?) as well. Possible that melee could receive the same buff on WS? Would make moogle weapons useful for more than just lowman / poor man's Ifrit's.
