    You're not going to get higher than 25% on anything remotely worthwhile.

    And that's just for double melds.

    Meld % varies with a few factors. Lv of gear, Amount of Stat, Tier of materia, and if the stat melding is already on the item. Typically double meld % is 18~25% depending on what your adding. Melding multiple tier IVs is horrible low % so people usually do high end tier IIIs.

    If you meld two of the same high-value Tier-IV materia to a Lv.47~50 piece of gear, your success rate WILL be ~18%. 25% is bullshit unless he's dropping down to Tier-IIIs.

    The best part is even within the same tier of materia, the better the materia value falls within its range the lower the chances of a multi meld are.

    ie. Adding a 20 INT as a second meld has a lower chance of success than a 16 INT despite both being TIV materia.

    You'd think that even with 18~25% I'd have gone better than 0/20 on double melds. I don't have a single double meld because my luck is awful, or the numbers lie. I like to believe the latter.

    It's so very easy to go broke doing melds unless you farm and craft your own stuff.

    You can also go broke trying to double-meld gear for sets that may be obsolete as they continuously fuck with the game's algorithms. ;[

    i think the inn bonus xp must be 100k bonus. my entire bar for 36 weaver is red (2k into level, 59k total needed for level)?

    actually it just depends if the equip is HQ or NQ and the stats of the materia

    example:

    the % for adding a int III +15 and int IV +17 is the same as IV +16 and IV +16
    adding on a HQ grants a bonus to that, the bonus is awesome and really worth it, i would say its between 3 and 8%, but i did so few times that i cant say how much is exactly.

    A simple question I guess.

    So for Gladiator, what stats should I be pumping in? I just unlocked Paladin so I got the free stat reset.

    STR and MND seem like the obvious thing, since they both affect sword damage but... you never know. What about VIT and DEX?

    Probably a dumb question, but what's the max loot you can get per run in AV/CC off the final five chests (not including any of the chests along the way)? I assume it follows Darkhold and Toto-Rak and it's limited to 5. Is this correct?

    Is gear swapping in this game viable at all? I don't notice anyone doing it, then again, all I barely see folks outside of AF gear.

    What do I do with these faded pages and despaciated crystals?

    You can only change gear when disengaged and it takes time, so it's not viable unless you have time to pause and swap things mid-fight. Generally you should be gearing for a situation before the situation, doing it on a per-spell or ability basis isn't very practical and would only be possible for CON/THM anyway.

    Crystals can be traded for 10 shards apiece or 30 for a useless lvl 30 helm, it was expected that a real use for them would be implemented but I get the feeling they've just forgotten about it. Pages have no use yet afaik.

    Yeah, I was kind of thinking about swapping in that "Increases Enhancing Magic" piece for my CNJ's buffs, but the slow change made me think otherwise, or maybe the game just sucks and I was doing something wrong.

    I heard rumors about some NPC showing up once every four days in a random cave in the world somewhere that takes the pages for.. something... but I'm out of anima and not in the exploring mood. Where can I unload these crystals?
