Right now I'm having a problem where NPC's will take their sweet sweet time loading up on to my screen. I'm talking 1-2 minutes. It doesnt happen all the time, but it's enough to drive me a bit crazy when it does happen, and also get me killed a few times when I don't realise I'm walking into aggro mobs. Is there any setting which could help this out?

What would you suggest as a good way to farm GC seals?

If i remember right, Caravan Escorts can't be soloed by r50. So I'm thinking about spamming one of those GC Leves (i.e. the one in Cassiopea) while exping a class.

Find a friend and duo totorak, prolly easiest seals, about 1200seals per 10-15min run if u can get all 5 chest effeciently.

YOu can also 4man Dzemael, but that requires more effort. Kaeko has video somewhere to get 4man 5chest Dzemael. Even if you don't speedrun, doing 4 chest in 30minutes run still nets you 6k seals per run.

If you're solo then farming NM's for trading items. Kokoroon is pretty good because it drops 2 items you can trade.
If you got a buddy then Toto-Rak runs getting 5-chests per boss is the best option imo.

Or do you mean getting the items and trading them back to the GC?

The seal value varies per item, mostly based on difficulty to obtain (zone chest vs win chest vs speed run chest):

Just wanted to know, since the patch notes didn't explain it, that if i'm level 50 and log out in the inn would I still accumulate rested bonus or would I need to be on a lv.49 or below? All it says is that the rested bonus won't decrease when level 50.

Yes you'll accumulate the bonus on an R50.

Probably answered before, but I just came back like last week. Does Good King Moggle Mog have some form of hate reset? Sometimes when I kiting he just goes from flashing red straight to green all of a sudden and goes to the middle, even if I just antagonize flash voked him. Pain in the ass sometimes, even though it's easy to regain hate it's just like ugh really.

King, GLA, and I believe ARC can all hate reset.

While i cant vouch for this, i believe Gla (Koop) has some kind of call for help moves so king goes after whoever has hate on Koop whenever he does the moves.

I believe any of the moogle can "call for help" not sure, but that's whats causing the King to shift hate.

I've been finishing up Missions quests (will finish Future's Perfect today) and have completed up through Into the Dark/DH for each GC.

Am I almost done with my initial prereqs before I start the other prereqs (for moogle, ifrit,etc.)?

The main-scenario missions in no way impact GC stuff (including primals).

In order to do the primals, you will need to...
1) Fully enlist with a particular GC. To fully enlist, you must do the 5 non-dungeon quests offered by the person behind the counter at each GC, then pick one to fully enlist in.

2) As soon as you've completed #1, you can pick up the lowbie (Lv25) Ifrit quest from the guy in Gridania [Louisoix (6, 2)].

3) [optional] As soon as you've completed #2, you can pick up the repeatable Moogle / Ifrit quests from the same guy in Gridania. Flagging and/or completing these quests are completely optional and in no way affects #4.

4) Once you've ranked up some within your GC and done most of the non-dungeon quests offered by the guy behind the counter, you can pick up the lowbie (Lv40) Garuda quest from the guy in Gridania. Once done with that, you can pick up the repeatable Garuda quest, again from the guy in Gridania.

I find myself in an odd position. Returning to the game with a GLA50, MRD38, with very few friends playing.
Question is, what you suggest I'd focus on, first? With that, I mean sitting in Uldah, either shouting or looking for shouts for certain events. I'm not in the position to ask for help directly because I'm still new to most of my LS people.

I was thinking about completing PLD to try and participate to primal battles. Meaning shouting for chest runs + finding a way to reach the other 2 coffers solo. Unless you'd advice me not to dare CC or AV with pickups.

But I could instead take MRD to 50, then work to unlock WAR as well. I guess exp parties should be easier to find, and maybe they wont require me to idle in Uldah. Does the search function actually accomplish something these days?


I know PLD is the new loldrg, but I'd like to stay faithful to it. Almost every shout I see these days is for healers (who'd had guessed!) but I'd hate to level one just to try Ifrit in a pickup group.

Well WAR's steel cyclone is being nerfed for lack of a better word in 1.22b I think, and SE seems adamant about "fixing" PLD to the point where it's comparable to WAR in terms of tanking. I think PLD either got an HP boost this update or is getting one soon, but the big thing is WAR's ability to deal much more damage than PLD while keeping the same enmity and damage reduction. If you really like to play PLD, then you might just need to work a little harder to get it to the point where it'll be worth taking it over a WAR, but I'm going to assume they will continuously tweak PLD until they get it to where they want.
