i wasnt aware you could fatigue, how long does it last? ive been having this problem for the last 2 days or so.

I'm pretty sure it isn't 200 fish/day at least not now
Someone recently did some heavy testing, but did a mediocre job of providing a summary of their findings. I'm actually mildly interested in the topic, so I summarized it myself.
OF post of more data than a sane person would collect on the matter.
My summary of it is as follows, with a little bit of data-interpretation. Obviously not official, but it should be close enough to correct.
Gathering fatigue will kick in after you reach 400 fatigue points (assume 1 gather = 1 fatigue point). The recovery rate seems to be around 30 fatigue points per hour, even while you're actively gathering. Due to the gradual recovery from fatigue, when you actually hit fatigue will vary depending on the speed of your gathering. It also may be possible that fatigue recovery speeds up if you go through periods of gathering inactivity (or simply when you're not on that class).
Other things to note:
• It is assumed that mainhand and offhand have equal effects on fatigue
• Failed/damaged gathers are assumed to not increase fatigue (or possibly just less than successful ones)
• I'm told that DoL fatigue is per class, so if you hit fatigue on FSH, you should be good to go do BTN.
• It's possible that fatigue is implemented simply by lowering your Gathering stat, thus meaning that with higher Gathering, you could stifle the effects of fatigue for longer. (Complete guess by me there)
All that said, the only way your issue could be caused by fatigue is if you're either gathering non-stop for days (thus not letting the fatigue deplete), or if you're not losing lures until you've been gathering for a while. If you just start losing lures as soon as you begin gathering, then fatigue is likely not your issue.
Never did exact testing since they increased the fatigue limit, but 400 was my observation as well; dropping per hour meaning it's closer to 500 before you'd actually see it. 30 seems like a very reasonable per hour recovery, maybe slightly more but that's in the ballpark.
Its hard to say. Levels 1-43 I did for about a week straight, nonstop and I didn't break many lures at all, just seems like the closer I get to 50, the worse it gets. Also, I can not be fishing for several hours, and then ill immediately start breaking.
Should really be a fatigue indicator, a little sweat drop icon next to the exp bar or something.
Are hermes' worth linking xi and xiv accounts? Clipperin' on xi don't wanna risk xiv going down with it
No, hermes is not worth it. I hardly ever use it. The buff is a 30 min buff on a 24 hr cooldown. It fades when u perform any action or incur enmity but is reapplied after a few sec when you're clear. Once you wear it, the timer starts and doesnt stop even if you take it off. Its same movement speed as Swift Song and I believe it stacks with it (+12% movement? )
I don't see the downside to linking them, however...
Ah, well I didn't know what "Clipperin'" meant, but I can guess now.
Fairly sure I read a while ago that with Caravan, getting more seals was simply a matter of stopping the caravan at specific points so that extra mobs pop. Anyone know where those points are?
Not exactly sure what's going on here, moogle weapon + bloodbath
The only explanation I can come up with is that moogle weapons can proc on WSs but it still doesn't make sense, maybe I just haven't been paying enough attention on WAR but I thought bloodbath absorbed something like 50% of damage.
Is PLD recommended now for Garuda? Our WARs last time had a very hard time keeping hate from the BLMs. Not to mention their SC were doing terrible damage on plumes...
I would recommend PLD as a real tank yes. A WAR will only succeed if they go full enmity/tank gear and make proper use of collusion as their strength is tanking multiple mobs where they can actually do good dmg after the nerf. PLD can self heal in a party with only 1 WHM and has a ton more survivability compared to a WAR.
As stated by Kaeko in a recent post in the stats thread that a properly geared PLD can reduce all incoming dmg by 40-50% for every atk on top of all their abilities. Sentinal being a 40% dmg reduction and aoe flash for Twins phase helps alot.
Thank you enygma.
Here's another question:
20 (thunder) Attack magic potency vs. 18 INT? I would like to get a mage's choker and full time it with 2 zircon +1s. Good idea or is the spinal choker slightly more effective?
Spinel Choker is 30/35 Matk (10 Matk 20 Thunder, 25 thunder for HQ) and I would put it above 18 INT. You'd also be losing 3 Macc trading a coral ring +1 for a mage's choker.
I would only consider mage's choker if we knew a bit more about how the adjustments changed M.crit rate and damage.
