So, a friend of mine took this picture, and I guess it confirms Fencer might be in the game at some point? I know it was already in the DATs, but yeah, this was a pretty interesting bug.

Why is it still unheard of to have adverse weather inside of a town?
I wish games had more realistic weather. I want to see shit like flooding every now and then, rivers getting wider due to lots of rainfall, snow falling in winter that turns the ground white. That kind of thing. But maybe technology still isn't powerful enough for games to implement stuff like that.
Well just finished my first 2 Rank 20 alchemy leves, and to my surprise I got marks from one, even though they weren't listed as a reward when I took the leve.
Anyone else experience this?
Tried rapid spamming a craft I can synth no problem and failed with total progress 7%. Yeeeah it's pretty worthless now. Trying to figure out if they implemented something where there's a particular color where red is good now.
Edit: This makes crafting take twice as long. As if standard edition people didn't already have enough reasons to ignore crafting altogether.
Crafting isn't always about just getting Progress to 100% as fast as you can. Grinding away just for skill, yeah. There's the added benefit of succeeding at stuff like Bold since you get more chances to increase Quality due to their lower increases to Progress.
Other changes: you can bold spam from 0-100 progress easily on synths far below your level now. 300+ quality every time. If anybody finds out anything else please post.
Crafting really was about spamming synths as fast as possible because it was so hard to gain quality from anything other than HQ mats. The reward/time was just not there to go for quality.
I'd direct you to a screenshot of me succeeding at 8 Bold Syntheses in a row, each one yielding Progress +10% and Quality+30~66... if I thought to screenshot it. It's not as hard as people think because they are mostly attempting shit above their level or entirely out of their league and missing the appropriate sub-crafts and training volumes on top of it.
I've heard people talking about 'sub-crafts' but is there anything concrete that is really pointing us towards their necessity or helpfulness?
I'm sorry, but I was having no problems with succeeding at Bold and Standard and ending with Durability:~50 and Quality:~200 from NQ ingredients when I was just doing lower-rank recipes (Rank-1~6) when I was a whopping Rank-10. I'm not talking about pounding out leve recipes that are a good 2~5 ranks ABOVE with no intent for anything but finishing the item and getting skill/exp.
The Lodestone's recipe lists note which recipes suggest a specific rank sub-craft... and attempting a recipe without it will give you a message about it too.
I've asked that in my LS about a million times, probably to their annoyance. The more I think about it, the more it annoys me. I haven't seen weather in a town since Tales of Destiny's snowy village.
It'll be shitting lightning and pissing rain on the ferry to LL, but LL merely has a few passing clouds in it when we arrive. Same deal with Grid. I don't understand it. Maybe they do it to save memory or something since cities are such a high traffic place.
I had assumed it was so it didn't look odd when none of the NPCs moved and just stood outside of their homes, next to shelter, but stayed in the rain, shootin' the breeze... but I find it more odd that the weather magically clears up every time my map changes to Gridania. Hamlet NPCs don't have any issue with the rain...
Anyone else notice that despite the standard edition coming out today hardly any new people? Seems dead walking through brentbranch or whatever.
I dunno, I think I beat the game.

Played with all the jobs, hate crafting, the second you hit 10 it becomes a near impossible slow chore to level up any further, leves are worthless, the game just feels so unfinished, and nothing but endless grinding. They better do something or they wont have anyone playing after the free trial.
It is pretty light tonight, for it being the "real" launch. We'll see how the weekend goes.
It's not the technology that is lacking, it's a choice they make between "pretty graphics" and "average graphics with interesting physics". Since these gimmick don't add much, they will go with prettier graphics.
What I'm saying is with limited ressource (current gen pc limitation, money, time, etc), they have to make choice, and realistic weather would be on very low priorities for most developper.
What is the macro command for equiping feet? I can get all the other slots to work, but not feet.
