derp.
It looks like you don't get any incapacitating weaponskills for a bit.
Archer's first is 24, that's pretty soon for me. It damages head too, which most enemies have. I didn't look at any other classes though. I'm curious if there will be a graphical indication of head damage like the coblyn has...
It's just a little lame that Concussive Blow II damages heads, but not Concussive Blow.
Well they had to make Concussive Blow II better, at least it's not just a case of more damage which is the lazy way of adding more abilities.
So much for hoping to have target-able body parts. . . its lazy. the exact same thing as using certaing spells/skill to trigger the various colored !!! in abyssea. except this time it just show up on the mob...
Im losing all faith
Has anyone been able to do battle regimens successfully? My LS was trying a few different combos trying and every time we would try to initiate them it would fail.
Its no different than with Lancer only being able to fuck up legs with skewer II instead of skewer.
Edit: It also gave them an opportunity to re-use animations just like with FFXI (not a knock on them because 100% of all MMOs re-use animations) and saved them time not having to make brand-new abilities for every 2-level gap.
I was just making a general comment on that. There's no difference in text between Skewer and Skewer II, same goes for any other tiered weaponskill. Take out the "beat the target about the head and face" from Concussive Blow so it makes more sense that Concussive Blow II is the only oneof the two that can incapacitate via head trauma.
Anyone reccomend good mobs to kill for fire crystals/shards and still get decent job exp at level 21?
So much bitter in this section lol.
Man, some of you guys will never be happy. If they'd slapped a different name on it you'd not care, you'd be like "oh cool, this WS can damage body parts and will come in very useful in end-game fights".
Actually, their convoluted naming process is one of the things that irks me, but lets not get into that in the random thread.
Well fair enough. I guess it's just something that comes with FF. There's always been multiple tiers of spells in every game. Usually as a way to increase the power of the spell. I guess they took that and did it for abilities in this game. At least they did something more than simply increase the power.
Is it impossible to do the main missions from other cities you don't start in?
bug? I've repaired everything to 100% yet I'm still under "Heavily damaged gear"
Did you check your accessories? :3 If so, I know some people had to re-log to get the icon to go away during beta.
