The post about shards/crystals
Currently, each player character or each retainer is allowed to possess up to 999 crystals and 999 shards.
If you obtain crystals or shards when you already have 999 of them, the surplus amounts cannot be obtained and will be discarded, as in the following cases.
•Obtain a new crystal or shard from the loot list.
•Trade with a retainer
•Trade with another player character or in a bazaar.
•Reset a bazaar
*Crystals and shards put in a bazaar will not be counted as possessed.
We are currently reviewing this design. New updates will follow as additional information becomes available. Thank you for your understanding.
Just to add, if anyone cares, the problem disappeared when I put fullscreen on, but of course, there's no way I can play XIV on fullscreen without having a windower or a second comp available. And another thing, with fullscreen there was this fucking annoying horizontal line moving up and down, moving like waves at the same time, something to do with screen tearing I guess. But yeah, in conclusion, if there's a way to get rid of one problem, there's always another waiting for you.
And yeah it would probably be best to test all different AA options and stuff like that, but I have this 15-60mins of fucking blackscreening after login everytime I restart the game, so that's really not an option for me.

Think Mystic or Archanist could be a blue mage?
A glitch like this already happened for fencer skills.
Thats probably the coolest glitch I've ever seen. lol
Guess my an LS mate of mine can stop worrying about whether or not there's going to be a blue mage-esque job or not.
Maintenance incoming?
I get why peoples' minds immediately went to "omg blue mage" but it's equally likely the glitch was just letting him use mob TP attacks. More likely, even, if you consider that none of the abilities cost MP, and 1000 needles was completely un-nerfed.
Just had to abandon my botany leve because I swapped to THM to kill wolves in the way, but it wouldn't equip phantom dart. Stayed on stone throw.
So I swapped back and forth a few times... and in my assign skill's menu, it shows it as phantom dart (with stone throw picture), telling me I cannot remove this skill. So I thought it was just an image lag... so I went back to THM to try again, and nope... cannot equip Phantom Dart.
...that was odd.
Relogged, fixed problem... Still wanted to kill wolves out of spite.
This one kept running back to it's spawn area (I guess?), and regening some of it's hitpoints which wasn't a big deal.
Along comes a lalafel gladiator, takes one of the others (there are three all together), and instead of going after ME, the wolf I was doing sole damage to, turned around and killed the gladiator.
Yellow just means you're fatigued and are only earning a portion of what you would normally get from an activity. The numbers are still accurate and you won't lose anything from your accumulated totals. When the "fatigue week" resets, the number will no longer be yellow and you'll just go back to earning normal amounts of exp or skill.
For example:
Say I'm earning a solid 1000 exp from each synth I do.
When I hit physical fatigue, that number goes yellow and I'll start seeing something like this from the exact same synth:
You gain 900 experience points.
You gain bonus experience points.
I'm still getting exp, just at a reduced rate (-10% for this example), and the more I continue to grind away at it without taking a break, the less I will be getting.
I think it's generally all understandable from this video:
http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/985...e-System-VIDEO
When it comes to your numbers:
Green = enhanced skill/exp gains (Guardian's Aspect)
White = normal skill/exp gains
Yellow = reduced skill/exp gains (fatigue/surplus/bonus/etc)
I'd lost the leve when I swapped jobs, so I was like "Eh." and just logged out to fix it :/I had this happen to me once too. Had to complete a leve spamming elemental magic. Only way I know of to fix it is to log out and back in.
Figured out that wolves don't like being pulled away from their pack. I tried again to kill them one at a time and it'd keep running back to it's 'home base' and regen hitpoints all over again.
In case anyone was still wondering.Originally Posted by Rammses

The macros, however, are unable to differentiate between same rings (2-4 Copper Rings it will just equip the first one and tell you that it has already been equipped for the rest of them forcing you to manually equip). In other news you can also quickly un-equip the rings (say if your crafting) by just dropping the item at the end. Ex:
/equip "Right Index Finger"
/equip "Right Ring Finger"
/equip "Left Index Finger"
/equip "Left Ring Finger"
Botany leves in Emerald Moss are a bit of a lottery in general. You either get lucky and there's no wolves camping your trees or you're strong enough to kill them. I avoid doing DoL leves in Shroud for that reason. I can kill wolves, but once I had two wolves and a flock of bees camping my tree and I couldn't take them all on at once. I did get lucky and someone ran past them and took them away long enough to get my tree done however.
On a side note, what does this mean?
"Your goldsmithing skill bonus rank increases."
I'm now losing 20% EXP? Or something else?
I doubt it's Archanist. The .dats indicate it'll be the next class to be implemented with how much info there is about it compared to other unreleased classes:
http://www.ffxivcore.com/index.php?a...attach_id=6732[Arcanist]
- A Disciple of Magic that makes use of magic along with mechanics.
- Their guild is currently located in Limsa Lominsa.
- Their magic skill is called "Arcanima."
- Their auto attack is called "Magic Missle", which uses "arcance" magic. Damage type varies with equipped item.
- They can use "Create Distaff" to create Arcane Distaffs and use "Animate Distaff" to animate them, placing them down and activating them. Distaffs are items imbued with power by the arcanist. They can be placed down as traps, arcanima fields, and more. There is a limit number of distaffs that can be placed down per party, and they have a set duration.
- Their actions "Create Distaff" and "Animate Distaff" are similar to "Refill" as Archer or normal attacks as classes. They cost no action points, MP, or TP.
- Their weapon is a combination of a staff and mechanics.
- Their weapon deals various element damage similar to other magic users. Their primary elements are Ice, Earth, and Water (identical to Thaumaturge), which is actually Umbral damage.
From Core..
That's not what I was asking. I know what surplus is. I'm asking what "Your goldsmithing skill bonus rank increases." means. My surplus rank increased, the message came after the usual "Your goldsmithing skill bonus increases".
My earlier guess of going from -10% skill to -20% seems wrong as I'm not seeing a further drop in skill.
