That's some good info Gulkeeva, thanks for the input.
I just put AVG on my PC and now I get this when I try to open ff14.

Anyone know how to fix this?
Right now it is assumed that the caps found for VIT (for its impact on the hp pool) and MND (for its impact on the mp pool) are assumed to also be caps for the other stats. Mostly because we don't have a good way to find out more. HP pools are easily observable in an objective manner. Things like crit rates and accuracy rates are not yet objectively observable until we have a combat log parser that has recorded a very large sample set and until we understand the game mechanics better (or they implement them)
This guy really lives up to his name:

Already a lvl 50 mrd.
He must have been grinding straight through PL Surplus cause he's still 46 on that.

How is Zam a better site than BG?

(Better than nothing)
Since people were talking about unique items being lost on leves if the leveowner already has one...
Does anyone know if the synthed item that'll become unique go to loot list or get lost from the start? Wondering about this since going to synth a vintage doublet vest for a friend while I already have one.
This is only partially correct. The formula changes every 5 or 10 ranks, with the probability being on 10. The formula for vit 10-19 was different than from 20-29. The exact numbers are in the glad thread and I don't feel like looking them up.
Taking the data gathered from STR is a good start in the right direction but there's no indication of upper / lower bounds vs. mob defense + VIT per level of STR and since the range of damage for a set STR value vs. a static level static type mob can swing easily upwards of +/- 50, and the crit values can range even more, there's no reason to infer anything about STR yet other than yes, it does do "something".
Whether it checks against VIT, DEF, level correction, fSTR (as it was applied in XI) in terms of maximum STR bonus to weapon ATT, etc, are all still unknown.
I've no interest whatsoever in testing STR or DEX in this game (the hours I spent on colibris helping collect data for dex...) but the first step in the right direction for any interested would be to zero out your STR to baseline + weathered weapon + lowest level mobs in area (star marmots for uldah) -> light attack ~100 times, plot data, increase STR by 1, repeat, increase str by 1, repeat until cap on upper range of data -> zero out STR -> equip next highest weapon -> repeat.
It's tedious and it will only give you a rough estimate of the effect until the full range of tests is then repeated on other types of mobs at the same known level to check against vit / def / pdt-% (coblyns for instance).
I promise you it will not be something quickly and easily cracked to a correct %error.
Has anyone been able to get to 53,20 in the Shroud yet? It's the most unique/open area in the region and I am wondering what purpose it serves. I can imagine some scary end-game mob being placed there.
21,7 is interesting too.
Man, I've got to go exploring sometime. Just a pain when most likely everything can one shot you in these remote areas.
Do bee baskets drop off any bee swarms?
Cant get em to drop anywhere
ah so.. what would be the cap of Vit at phys lv 50? if thet level X2 + 28 formula is off after a certain range?
I know at phys 34 its not at 110 vit yet as far as I can tell.
