What does +Elemental Resistances do? The only thing that effects your 'elemental wheel' or whatever on your character sheet is point allotment, or items that explicitly have +element on the items own wheel. But when the items have Elemental Resistances +X, ive been unable to notice any difference/stat correlation.

Just got my ff14 copy recently, and I've finished through all the C&B verifications, but when I tried to purchase the 180-days options, it keeps giving me this error.

If C&B is not available you can still use the crysta (Ultimate Pay) option, you have to buy crysta in advance.

what does having equip broken do?

on my weapon i can clearly see that it does a lot less damage, when its on heavy its about half, but what about the armor? I see no change on the stats and couldnt see any other difference, a friend said that he thinks the stamina recharges slower, does anyone have info on that? Im waiting for all my equip to break to test this stamina thing.

you probably wont notice changes unless all your gears are at zero. it doesn't reflect changes on the stat screen, but your def is clearly much inferior, I noticed it while grinding, blue mob that hit normally for 50-100 stated hitting for 200+, all my armors were at zero.

no, i think a zero durability weapons gives less skill up rate and also (obviously) less skill per skill up.

Are people still getting "FFXIV has stopped working" quite often? Maybe happens to me once every few days. Was wondering if this is something I can fix...or if its totally on SEs end.

Fucking constantly. At least once a day, sometimes every 10 minutes...
It's either that error or the "Unable to detect DirectX device" error.

anyone knows if there is a way to use a second monitor to play with the gamepad attached to it so that when it goes out of focus (browser, messenger, etc) i can still play?

I don't get that at all lately. After fixing the blackscreen after logo thing, random crashes have been a thing of the past. The directX thing usually happens if there's some firefox update that is shoved down my throat.

That's what everyone I've talked to seems to say, "something is taking popping up in the background". But I don't have anything running in the background, I have even gone through task manager and shut down nearly every process running and it still happens. Updated all my drivers, used legacy drivers, lowered game settings, overclocked gpu, underclocked gpu, windowed, fullscreened... nothing seems to resolve it. The Nov. version update better fix it because I'm not paying if I can't stay on long enough to last a single SP party session.

If it happens in Windowed then it definitely doesn't have anything to do with popping up in background. And the popping up in background thing is only related to the error message about losing DirectX device.

nevermind, found it on the ffxiv gamepad config.

Anyone tried solo exping. with like a really low level sitting in party afk by where u are fighting? will the high level still get party bonus?
