I came across a post about a map pack project that's been released with gathering points and whatnot in it a few days ago. I have no idea where I saw it and an hour of thumbing through threads (and search function) got me nowhere. Anyone know what I'm talking about and can point me to the correct thread? Thanks.

Edit: Nevermind, completely wrong website. lol

It is much more likely the game didn't reach proper milestones. For example, I don't really believe they liked the idea of having no auto sort. Stuff about anima and etc, that seems like a true miscalculation. However, in particular, anima worked differently pre-release.

It's not strange. Nothing in the game is fun and there's currently nothing fun to work towards. The journey is supposed to be fun and engaging, not just the penis thrusting from being max level. You can't expect people to be patient as they grind through 20 levels of the same damn lizards.

I don't believe that S-E was somehow blind to the thousands of negative comments posted on the beta forums and through bug reports just because phase 3 people didn't get to comment. They got hundreds of complaints for every positive response they got on the market wards and they just ignored the feedback anyways. It took many critiques from the larger gaming outlets to even get them to put a band-aid on the problem.

Getting the patch out before CE people have to pay is a very good idea because otherwise they're not going to pay. It would take a lot of improvement to get me back but I'm willing to give it a shot as long as I don't have to use my crysta to do so.

They could always go back on their word (lol no "levels"), but when they last announced upcoming patches they said nov and dec where the only monthly ones and starting with dec they were going to the 3 month plan.

Where can I find info on Foods and effects and such. I hear they have optimum ranks and vary by race.

Does anyone know if the character slots work like XI, so if I cancel the payment for a slot the character will be there if I reactivate the slot?

I heard that the quality number from crafting only affects the chance for touchup to raise the item quality, not on the chance to get hq at completion. Making quality useless for synths that don't get touchup. Anyone else know of this?

I'm 99% sure that is untrue.

Yea this is almost obviously untrue. Anyone who has ever gotten an HQ should realize this. Skilling up you get an HQ maybe 1/100 times. Being high level it's very easy to get HQ. 25% or more with a quality of like 250+

Tell that to cotton yarns. I've got 0 HQs with anything over 100 up to 600 quality. Every time I get a HQ it's below 100... Even got +2 yarn with below 100 once.

How many cotton yarns have you done where you got over 200 quality? Do you have the Spinning Training manual?

I don't have the manual and I've done it like... 30 times.

In my experience without the manual crap is just hard to HQ, period. I can't HQ Bronze Ingots very well either even at r22 blacksmith. But things like that, even with an across the board low HQ rate you would be more likely to HQ them with a low quality because you typically spam them in mass while skilling up at lower levels.

Your experience is interesting of course, but without the manual I'm not sure it says anything because there's evidence to suggest HQ rate is screwy when doing an item that requires manual even though you don't have it.

I can affirm this. I've landed with 500~600 quality on very low-rank Fish > Sand recipes (which all suggest Fishcleaning Training) a hundred times and I've HQ'd maybe 3 of them.

Less than 700 ppl on tonight on Saronia. Keeping my fingers crossed that some ppl come back after updates and we get a good swarm in from PS3. It's kinda nice since it's that "everyone knows everyone," feeling, but damn it makes finding mats a bitch and a half sometimes.

Not to mention producing anything in mass and trying to sell it since there are so few people who actually need X item.

I think that's balanced out by having less people making them, although people who want to be high level crafters probably haven't stopped playing.

We got a winner. Everyone bitched that "everyone crafts," for a while and that they couldn't make money. It's thinned out now where most ppl are shifting towards selling shards while others lvl crafts 30+ and sell items to said ppl.

Yeah and since they inflated the price of shards and crystals so much they've made crafting even more difficult for them to level up when they decide to. I can't see a benefit to crafting now if you're not already 25+ except to repair your own stuff. By the time someone in their teens reaches 30 those items won't sell for much.

There's no stable prices in this game. Everything is ridiculously expensive for the first week for the must-have-now people, then the prices level out at what the majority will pay, 2-3 weeks later they fall quickly because everyone is making them and some of the early buyers are upgrading their gear.

Yep. Plus if you're smart and trade mats/shards with other crafters that cater to their needs and vice versa, it makes it way easier to get what you need to make profit synths and grind.

Basically people are too lazy to farm stuff they can't find and too selfish to share mats/shards with others, so they're sol now.

I've been trying to find someone to trade me their silver nuggets for iron nuggets for ages but having no luck. I mean, iron is worth slightly more but I'd still do one for one.
