According to this you will only get extra 30 days if you activate the game no later than this date.

How do I make sure my account is canceled so I don't get charged any fees once the free trial runs out?
I cancaled Continuous pay on the website, is that all I need to do? I've clicked around all over their website but can't find anything that gives me a satisfactory answer.

It depends. If you're using Paypal/Crysta, I think that may be enough, as long as that includes cancelling all of your active XIV services. If you're using the other thing, ClickandBuy or whatever, I think you need to send them an e-mail to cancel, unless that was changed.

Can someone explain to me how to use party search

Like what do I input to actually find parties exping near my lvl?

party > recruitement. input which camp you plan to exp in (location), what kind of jobs you want ( keep level range of 4), there are options so you can search for specific jobs of specific levels etc, for example 3 DoM and 4 DoL. In the search comment I put the exact location, mob we fight and if we started /when we start and how many I already have.

I f you look for a PT just go party > search and select the job you want to PT as. If nothing appears, no PT is lookign for members, make your own.

I generally start grinding with a friend then put a search comment running, and 1 hour later we have 4-5 people getting good exp.

That's if you want people to be able to join you. If you just want to find people exping around your level, go to Party -> Search, leave everything blank and hit Begin Search. If anything shows up the list, click it and hit Join.

Regarding Quickstride, does anyone know any specifics on its effect? Is it similar to the rank 30 Lancer move except that it doesn't require active mode? How much slower is it or is it the same? How long does it last? lol

Faster than Prospect/Triangulate, 30s. You must be in active mode to use it.

In general where do people party at 38-50?

Mountain Peiste @riversmeet from 30-33/34. Grass raptors at boulder downs till around 38+. If your party is killing these in like 15 seconds, you can move to Ever Lake raptors at around 40.

So I picked up the game yesterday and started playing a bit, lv6 conjurer now and still learning how the game works. Any important stuff I should know/do when I'm still low level (like in FFXI tossing all my beastman seals till like level 50 because I thought they were worthless). I've seen that level rates past 10 will be increased in march, so should I concentrate getting all my jobs to 10 first and then start back on my conjurer after the update?
