Well I'm glad to hear its improving. Nice change from the usual things I hear about it that's for sure lol. And thanks for the quick response guys.
Also, any of you fought those new NMs they added? I think that was this update, unless I'm mistaken.

When does the rank 20 fishing leve open up? I thought it was 13, but I'm 13 now and Gridania isn't offering it to me.
It may not show up right away, probably have to wait until the next reset.
Love the idea! <3
I have to admit, I'm feel like I'm having more fun with this model of SP gain.
Abstract thoughts
The important difference is the player's effort impacts the effectiveness with which they're gaining sp. Whereas before, the sp gain was random and sometimes felt counter-intuitive to progress in the game. Kill a mob too fast? Fewer chances to proc a skill gain. Leveling parties were about optimizing around procs rather than killing stuff. Now the reward is directly tied to killing things. As you get more powerful, you kill things faster, which gives you more SP. A sense of progress and agency is very important in a game. This restores some of it. Good decision SE. Now fix the party bonus (again) pls.
Question : Can we turn off the weather effects? I think it's actually what makes me lag the most but I haven't found anyway to stop it.
Also, can i just get the crafting guildleves, craft the shit and not run around to turn it in and just replace it the next day? the Lv1 leves are a pain in the ass and make me run so far for something like 500gil reward
Can you change chat-window opacity yet? I can't remember if they said it was in this update. Can't find it if it was.
yeah from the config, cant remember which option.
Ahh, weird. Guess I will have to check again when I get home, thanks.
Yes, you can change chat window opacity. There's a slider bar in the 'chat filter' config.
That would explain it-- didn't think to check there for it, haha.
NEVERMIND.
If you kill multiple targets in one blow (a la brandish, etc) is it normal to only get exp for one of the mobs, instead of the number that you actually killed?
I believe that was something that came along with the new Skill Point system... it feels like a bug or oversight.
Yes, it's normal, if the other targets remained unclaimed up until they were hit then died due to the damage from that one hit. If you're doing a leve, you can AoE at will and still receive full credit from each mob within a group. Otherwise, you only gain a % of the mob's base experience/skill dependent on its HP from the time of claim. This is how it worked before the November update as well (but only affecting experience).
Do any mobs drop Iron Ore or Limonite?
Easiest common mobs:
Iron Ore = Copper Coblyns
Limonite = Sewer Moles and Snapping Shrews
Assuming these weren't ninja-removed recently.
The best way to progress in this game right now(at least something equally fun and rewarding) is behests. It also is something good for building communities.
EDIT: That said, there isn't much strategy as of yet. There isn't much of a reason to have one since usually there are people 3-7+ the camp's level which can tank anything the behest throws at them.
Anyway, I am still looking for more Lindblum linkshells to join. More linkshells = more people = more opportunities to leve-link.
