I'm just waiting till level 30 to get my next quest and set of marks. I suspect that I'll get most, if not all my leve marks for LW.

I don't mean to burst your bubble, but it's been told that the rank 30 quest for LW require wolf leather. So unless you have access to that material (or until SE adjust the recipe issue), you may not be able to do it right at 30 (since apparently wolf is the 40's material, toad is 30's).

I wasn't going to do 30 quest for LW, I was going to do it for Weaver, and just get LW marks from leves.

Training Manuals

After purchasing a training manual, like "Cobbling Training", do we need to do anything to use it or does it just work?

The UI (fails again) does nothing to indicate it works. The recommended facilities have a place in the confirmation window that indicates the requirement and goes away if you fulfill the facilities requirement, but the training recommendation is still there.

Wouldn't they appear under Key Items? I have yet to get more than 3k points for any of my crafting classes...

I'm asking for a lazy ls-mate. She got the marks, not me. They are appearing under key items, yes. But we're not sure if there's anything else that needs to be done. And the effect they have on synths is a bit subtle to know for certain right off the bat.

The effect is quite obvious IMO. I got Nailcasting and fail far, far less often on the Iron Nails leve. I also got Tanning Training and can do Buffalo Leather at 24.

The main thing is the dura loss on failures. I'm not sure if you can go higher than 15 on a white/multi/yellow orb when you have the correct training. If it requires two though you'll still get your ass kicked (like you don't have any) till you get the second one.

It's durability loss on failure in much the same way that being too low level is also durability loss on failure. I almost feel like not having the manual is equivalent to an artificial reduction of your level by like 3 levels or so.

I'm sure sometimes the game decides you're going to fail a synth before you even begin it, no matter what you do. The only synthing strategy seems to be when you're crafting something above your rank, otherwise it's just standard spam. When you start out with a couple of fails throw in an ability, but usually that's when the game has decided you're not completing this synth.

Good point lol. I noticed this when skilling up though, where you just want the item completed as quickly as possible.

If you're high enough level you can just bold spam the same way you usually standard spam

Looks like, for making lacquers, Vert and Azure are pretty low, like 10~15ish... but any fucking other one is like 32+. I have so many materials I can't even attempt on...

I forget where I saw the discussion about repairing things. Was the consensus that your craft rank needs to be at least 10 ranks below the item's optimal rank?

For example my Royal Kitchen Skillet is optimal rank 22, so to repair it, I need to have Armorer to rank 12, right?

That's correct for NQs. For HQ add 5 for every HQ level. So to repair a rank 50 HQ3 weapon you need to be rank 55. Good luck!
