I strongly feel that the quality of the starting mats has a large influence on the results as well. Quality (rating) aside, I think having +3 mats to begin the synth just have a better chance of HQing in general. Too often I can get 200+ quality with NQ mats and nothing happens, but when I start using HQ mats and finishing easier, stuff HQs. Anyone else feel this way?

It was annoying me to read the patch notes looking for new recipes I could make, and haven't found them posted on any other database site yet, so I decided to create a quick spreadsheet that helps a little. It's pretty basic, but maybe someone else would find it useful. You can type in an item name (or keyword, ie. Maple) and it'll search all of the new recipes for recipes that make that item, or recipes that use that item as a material. You can also specify the discipline if you want, leave it blank to search all of them.

If you want to use this spreadsheet, you need to save a copy of it to your own google docs account. I'm not letting you edit mine.

I just use lodestone for this, you can search by crafting level, material or product. The only thing it is lacking is the stats on the finished product.

Ah, I didn't actually realize they had it updated with new recipes. That looks more useful since it seems to have all of the recipes (minus the ones they're phasing out).

Do you know if the recipes are listed in increasing level or are they just random for each level range? They're pretty vague with the level ranges but I'm wondering if the order gives any indication to their real level.

Yes, they are in order, there's just no firm way to know where in the bigger level range they fall.

Currently i'm 35 weaver, what should i be working on for leveling? I'm currently grinding on undyed felt

Level 40 leves will be your best bet immediately. Your grind is alright for now too though, as long as you like farming/buying tons of the mats.

I buy most of the mats as the cost of making it is the same as selling it minus the cost of the shard. The thing is for leves, i only do those in-city leves as i prefer not to waste anima. Is that the right choice? What can i proceed on from undyed felts?

Yes, city ones are fastest exp but they change a lot and that's a pain. Haven't done Weaver since I stopped at 36, but for GSM I've gotten good runs of 5-6 hand-ins before getting shafted. Now that you're 35 though you can start selecting the level 40 leves, which is why I suggested it. Grinding is becoming a thing of the past due to all these recent recipe changes in quantity. The devs really want you to use the leve system and they've given you 99 leve max to do it.

Leves are really the best way to level if you're not autocrafting while afk, so you'll either need to spend the anima or grit your teeth and make the run on a Chocobo. I had to do the majority of ARM from 35>40 on Bald Knoll/Iron Lake only because the 35s weren't popping anymore.

Linen Yarn, lots of Linen Yarn. I did Linen Yarn/Cloth up to like 41, getting around 200 exp per synth near the end.

Don't know about your server, but there is usually tons of Flax cheap in the wards since people farm the hell out of Karakul Fleece.

Is there a level 50 leve for BSM/ARM around LL? I've hit 46 on both and i've yet to see a level 50 leve pop up in the area...

i did try linen cloth, i get about 190 exp per synth iirc
