Yep. When I was grinding last night I was only getting 30-70 a fight when my Conj friend was getting 100-500. I did just get an entire new gear set though, so I'll have to see how well my skillups improve. I've definitely noticed my skillups decreased greatly when my gear got more and more damaged, which is just one more reason I hate the way the durability system is, but I won't complain about that in this thread.

It definitely does seem like we're getting shafted on the skill gains though, hopefully we'll get some improvement.

Even on Archer skillups are rare, only getting 34-112 most mobs or sometimes nothing at all. Don't know what level you are but have you tried swarmflies is cassio?

I'm 16, do you think I could take Swarmflies? Really haven't spent much time in Cassiopeia, and I don't see any mob information on YellowGremlin. I plan on grinding tomorrow and it will probably be with a healer and a DD, so I'll definitely look into it. Thanks for the suggestion.

I was almost able to solo a Lone Wolf at 13 pgl, and before I died I was getting like 80-100 skill per Heavy Strike. Those things are fucking everywhere too, so if you're around 14 and decent at soloing they'd probably be nice (assuming this wasn't a tragic fluke of rng).

Those Lone Wolves are a lot harder since launch too... They used to spam that Howling Moon self-buff thing (whatever it does) and miss their special attack if you moved to the side. Now they spam Foul Bite and never fuckin' miss...

Yeah, I got fucking DESTROYED when I tried them around 13-14. Now that I have some decent gear and I'm 16 I might be able to take one, but they still hit fucking super-hard. Definitely be ready to die if you try Lone Wolves.

Maybe the extra stats from having a higher physical level helps, but on conjurer I leveled from 10-12 on lone wolves and they were not so bad, had to cast cure like 3 times per fight. They gave good skill ups, but man was the whole area swamped with people and made me move on.

This was happening to me and my fiancee the other night. She was getting anywhere from 0-37 max on her PGL in the log but when she would check her tnl(tnr?) it was moving up by about 100 or so. Is the not showing any skill/exp gained glitch still happening?

Young Galagos around (15, 21) in the Black Shroud have been treating me nicely at level 13 PGL/16 PHY.

Anybody past rank 20 know some good solo camp? I'm rank 22 marauder and everywhere seems to suck, barely nothing give more than 100 and get like 0-75 from green dodos, nanny goats and puk pretty much the same, just went back to lower lvl dodos and get like 0-100 and I kill them in a few hits, still sucks tho with 24k tnl, and they usually only average 50~ kinda want to go see what arbor squirrel cons like at this rank but thats kinda far and gotta repair axe all the time =.= hard times

Edit: well went to Coerthas and doing blue/green arbor squirrel and green Antelope Doe at camp glory, getting 60-200~ each, guess I stay here and walk forever everytime I need to repair my Gaxe.

Hmm, gave Hoverfly Swarms in Cassiopeia a try, they're pretty easy to kill and con Tough at rank 16, and there's obviously not a soul here since it's Cassiopeia, but I'm only getting about 100 skill per fight Seems to be pretty common though, so I'd say this is definitely a decent spot

EDIT: Just watch for the occasional IT Swarm <.< Just got my ass kicked.

Started doing those at the end of 17 since lighning beetles weren't spawning fast enough(wtf with spawn rates?). They're pretty easy except for the random whiff fest which can cost you a death. Sad thing is I think there's like 3 caves that spawn those in all of cassio so prepare for those spots to fill up. I really wonder what SE was thinking with these spawn rates. There's like 1000 people easy on my server along and the flood gates are about to open to the real release. There's going to be a serious lack of mobs to kill, even more so than right now. It wouldn't be so bad if mobs would just respawn every 30-60s, but I'll clear a whole group of mobs 2x and sit there for 5 minutes waiting for them to pop again.

    Anton's super-gridania guide to 15:

    Rank 1-3
    Star Marmot

ProTip: Do not fight the Star marmots directly outside of town, they will be extremely overcamped. Marmosts, specifically star marmots, spawn literally everywhere. Head east or west if the local camps are crowded.

    Rank 3-7
    Forest Funguar

ProTip: Like Marmots, these are everywhere. They do not use a direct damage tp move, but they inflate and will do a short range AOE poison after a bit. You can avoid it by running away.

    Rank 7-11
    Thistletail Marmot

Protip: I'd recommend waiting till 8 to start if you don't have a high physical level or supporting abilities. They are pretty evasive head on and tend to run around alot, which could create bug-regen scenarios. They are extremely plentiful in and around Emerald Moss. Secret camp: Head west from Emerald moss to the Coerthas zoneline. There is a giant pool of marmots chilling near the zone. The distance from Emerald Moss usually puts it out of the range of the general population.

You need to bridge to 13 here before heading south to Tranquility. I recommend:
Roselets - High damage, but squishy. The TP move is a beast, keep your health high and kill fast. Great skillpoints even when blue.
Bees - Medium damage, very squishy. Found in rivers around Emerald moss.
Young Galagos - I found most of them along the path to and from Emerald Moss, due to people generally ignoring them for the low level mobs in the area. Also south of Bentbranch, near the TamTara deepcroft.
Anglers - Can be tried at ARC13. Rage of the Deep gives them Berserk, Scouring Strike dispells it, don't get owned by berserk.

Alternately, you can stick with the Marmots. Or, with some decent level and backup ability complements, grab your stones and go to Camp Tranquility.

    Rank 14+
    Faerie Funguar/Fallgourd Funguar
    Canopy Galago
    (Lone Wolf - Emerald Moss)

ProTip: Set your homepoint by touching the Aetheryte in Tranquility. You may very well need it. If you aren't confident in your ability, stick to the funguars. (There are some high level Thistletails in one of the upper circular camps east of Tranquility). Galagos like to use Drop kick, which is painful. You can find funguars and galagos northwest of the camp, should have seen them on the way in. There are more galagos with the thistletails in the upper reaches.

If you miss too many of your big moves, you will probably die. That's just life. Which is why it's vital to set your homepoint. Happy Hunting.

Edit: Rank is job. Level is Phys. GRRRRR CHANGES

Haven't found anything especially good those level, I mostly duo'ed those level with a con, puk, dodo, goats were decent at the ramp leading to the beach east of camp bloodshore but dont think can handle goats solo , we did bloodshore bell NE of camp bloodshore around those level too, but that tp move suck w/o shell. maybe try Moraby mole, might still give something decent at 19, I started soloing coerthas at 22, xp died at 24 for no reason.. and you can even try lower leve dodo around camp skull, I wanted to farm wind shards and found out they gave me decent sp still and just rampaged the whole place, actually got rank 22 on those.

There's a great spot in The Black Shround for 12+ on Galagos

Just north of Hyrstmill near Treespeak gate (set your HP here) there's like 10 Galago really close together. The spawn radius is really small and is confined to that corner of the road and you have to be careful of AOEs. 2 Yarzon can pop nearby but they're usually not a problem even if they aggro during a galago.

At 12 everything conned green to orange

At 14 now everything cons blue to yellow

I was able to kill the oranges at level 12 on my archer as long as no yarzon interrupted

Is there a Cassiopeia other than Cassiopeia Hollow? Because while walking through the first tunnel, I got decimated by a Sea Hare.
