2nd ep was slightly better. Animation is still fucked. I still think that they were better off going from the beginning, but whatever. Dead horse etc. The main problem here is for those that' haven't read the manga, (not sure if people who haven't will even bother with the anime) but they're introducing and expecting everyone to know these characters too fast. Like if you hadn't watch the previous series or read the manga, what context is there of Guts and who he is/why he's doing what he's doing?

You're fine as long as you've seen the previous show or movies. I haven't read and I'm not too lost.

But plot wise it's totally not for newbies.

Between the anime, movies and manga there's no need to tread old ground again.

I'd rather not have another retelling of the Golden Age since there are actually good adaptations of it.

Man I´m still not sure what to make of Berserk 2016 or whatever you want to call it. I was like 14 years old when I first watched the anime and have been the biggest fan ever since hoping for a continuation. Now we have it and...I don´t know I think I really enjoy it but I´m not sure if I do (if that makes any sense lol). It definately allready had some pretty badass typical "Berserk moments" but it´s probably the animations that are the biggest issue for me right now. Going to have to give it a couple more EPs to fully make up my mind.

This 15 second clip is better than the 3 movies and these first two episodes put together. (except when skull knight busts through the eclipse in the last movie)

The third movie is fantastic

1 and 2 were eh. 3 is where the really stuck the animation for sure.

I think I'm finally just sucking it up with the CGI. It's bad but meh the initial shock of it is gone. What bothered me this episode was the nippleless boobs. Just put some clothes on her if you're gonna censor it like that.

Obviously took them off during one of her masochistic flail sessions. I was disappointed when Guts didn't instantly raise his sword at the end, she's shaping up to be the damsel in distress that doesn't ever die, until she kinda sorta becomes a badass then dies in a terrible manner.

He's explaining to me why her clothes were off. That wasn't my complaint. I saw the scene, I know why they were off. I was complaining about the choice of the artists to make her take her clothes off if they were just gonna censor the nipples. Should've just made it so she still had clothes on.

I took as he was joking as to why she had no nipples, but obviously no jokes allowed.

Clothes were obvious but I guess not, and while I don't like the barbie doll look it's a better alternative to cliche cloth rags covering key parts. Given that anyone could be worried about how faithful they will be to the manga, more silly censoring wouldn't give anyone a better impression.

was weird though there were a couple points (no pun intended) where it looked like she had nipples that just weren't shaded/colored differently

Just watched 3 episodes and I hope to god that they just cancel this slop after the 6th episode. I would rather wait another 15 years for someone to put some real effort into the animation. This type of animation hurts the eyes and head.
