Hey, I recently bought FFVII on my psp just to bring back some old memorys and im about to buy a ps3 slim at tha end of tha month and i was wondering if i can take my psn account i created on my psp and use it on my ps3, or do i have to create a new one and buy FFVII all over again...also would i be able to play FFX on tha ps3 slim because i heard they released an update that allows you to play ps2 games on it now orrr?

FUCKKKK my PS3 fatty blew up on me and I got a slim in replacement, did I read that right? is the PS3 slim not backwards compatible?

PS3 hasn't been backwards compatible since the first and second generation, like 3-4 years ago now? Edit: Yeah they're not even in production anymore. Only way you could get a backwards compatible one is to find one used, though they're usually much more expensive for obvious reasons.

Found mine on craigslist, guy wasn't sure if it was backwards compatible or not. Took a leap of faith and...not backwards compatible. :/ No biggy though, my PS2 still works just fine regardless. Got a good deal on it too. Think it was PS3 and COD: MW2 for $220. I hate how the new slims look, I love the piano black finish<3

I love the black finish of the 1st gen, but I love the sturdier feel of the slim. but man that really sucks that its not backwards compatible. Yea I have my PS2 also but its a white slim so it clashes with my all black entertainment system..

A PSN account is a PSN account, it isn't directly tied to a console, although you're only allowed 5 consoles/5 handhelds to be authorized with it at a time.
