Yeah, they're both great games. 1 plays more like a RPG, while 2 plays more like RE.

Lightning costume looks so weird on her.
Other way around for me. I think Aya's costume look weird on Light, but Light costume don't seem that bad on Aya
I can't wait for this game, has to be one of my favorite game series ever.
I hope it has the same replayability as the previous ones (notably 2). I loved going back through the game with a gunblade or crazy ass machine gun and loads of powers. Also some nice difficulties like Bounty mode.
1 has the true ending that you get after beating the game and going up the tower. Shit was fun man.
As long as it has much much much better controls than PE2 I'll probably like it. Didn't even get more than 20min into PE2 before giving up on it but I love the first.
Apparently the Lightning costume can get damaged enough to show her L'cie mark. This might be my new fetish.
I'd say give it another chance, at the time I played 2 I was heavy on the RE2 playthroughs, so the tank controls were easy to work with. Even though the field controls were horrible, I found it much easier to run around in battle. From the looks of it, it won't control anything like 2 though (or at least here's hoping).
L'cie mark is on her thigh right? If so, then fuck yeah.
That's Vanille's mark, on her upper thigh. Light's mark is on her upper chest.
Aya will be able to switch into the FFXIII
hero's outfit during gameplay just like a standard outfit. It will tear
up as she incurs damage, even showing Lightning's l'Cie tattoo mark,
which is in a place you normally wouldn't be able to see.
That's hot. I've been really wanting to see Lightning's mark, and if I missed it then fuck.
Light showed it to Fang in XIII, IIRC.
I don't think she literally showed it, though, but Fang pointed out where it was in a CS, or some shit like that, I can't remember now.
It is indeed on her Chest, I know that for sure. I just can't remember exactly what it was Fang did to show that Light's mark is on her chest..
Promotional Box Art

These packages are placed in shops to get people to pre-order. The artwork may or may not be final (in this case, the art for The 3rd Birthday probably isn't).
The back of the box for The 3rd Birthday says "Parasite Eve's main character appears as a reborn Aya Brea. She's lost the memories of her past. Can she save humanity from despair?"
Under the features area, the package lists the following:
Movie
Major scenes use movies that make use of the highest technology.
Event
Full voice for the drama scenes.
Overdive
Battle
Twisted
Liberation
Mission
As you progress through the story, you'll occasionally have missions. Follow orders from division, defeat the target enemy, and you'll be able to progress with the story.
Protective Wear
Before heading out on a mission, you can change your costume/armor. There are a variety of costumes.

The new 3rd Birthday characters in Jump this week aren't actually
new. The magazine provides proper introductions to Gabriel
Monsigny and Kyle Madigan, both of whom were in past trailers I
believe.
There's also an introduction to an orbital weapon called the
"Satellite Cannon." Screenshots show this laser-based weapon
making quick work of the Twisted.
More importantly, there's a particularly sexy shot of Aya showing
her clothes torn in new, exciting ways.
http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/201...d_crisis_core/Good news for those who just want to get Aya Brea as naked as
possible as quickly as possible. You'll be able to skip event scenes in
The 3rd Birthday. Director Hajime Tabata revealed this little bit
earlier today at The 3rd Birthday official Twitter.
Skippable event scenes normally wouldn't be news, but in Crisis Core
Final Fantasy VII, the event and limit skill scenes were not skippable.
According to Tabata, by the time the development staff realized
that they'd omitted the skip feature, it was already too late to put
it in. This ended up being one area of Crisis Core that they greatly
regret.
The 3rd Birthday Twitter has seen somewhat of a surge in Crisis
Core posts of late as Tabata compared its development with that
of The 3rd Birthday.
Crisis Core was originally imagined as a full action game, Tabata
revealed. However, because the staff was more skilled with RPGs,
they changed the design to have more RPG-like battles. In the end,
Tabata feels the change was good.
When moving on to The 3rd Birthday, Tabata assembled people who
seemed more capable in the action genre. He believes that The 3rd
birthday has turned out according to its original image, although the
quality is even greater than expected.
Getting strictly into Crisis Core's development, Tabata revealed a
bit of trivia about the early Square Enix PSP title. One parts of
Crisis Core ended up having to be cut because the game went
beyond what could fit on a UMD. The area that was cut was the
period when Zack and Cloud escape the Shinra Mansion in Nibelheim
and flee to Midgar. While Tabata felt that by showing the drama as
Zack and Cloud fled to Midgar they could better show the ties
between the two, they decided that it would instead be better to
focus on Zack's activity as a soldier.
In other The 3rd Birthday news, this week's Jump has a one page
report on the game. As detailed in this week's flying get column (see
the weekly column for all the breaking Japanese magazine stories),
Jump has profiles of Gabriel Monsigny and Kyle Madigan, along with
a look at an orbital weapon called "Satellite Cannon."
If the usual publicity cycle holds, Famitsu should have a more
detailed report next week, with official online media appearing
shortly thereafter.
New screens(I think) as well: http://www.siliconera.com/2010/10/19...north-america/The wait for The 3rd Birthday won’t be too long. Japan gets the
PSP game first on December 22. Square Enix has The 3rd Birthday
slated for Q1 2011 in North America. In plain English, that’s
sometime between January 1 and March 31 of next year.
The 3rd Birthday, if you haven’t been following it, is a departure
from the Parasite Eve games. It still stars Aya Brea and is set in
New York. However, it’s a shooter where Aya uses the Overdive
system to control other comrades on the battlefield by swapping
their body and mind with hers.

Square Enix revealed another costume for The 3rd Birthday in
Famitsu. Like other outfits, the suit costume also takes "battle
damage". The Twisted tear Aya’s stockings when they hit her until
her legs are bare.
Aya can change costumes in the locker room. It’s one of the areas
in the Briefing Room, which appears to act like a hub for The 3rd
Birthday. Aya can equip weapons in the armory and select missions
from the Overdive room.
I like where this is going
