I was being overdramatic for the sake of storytelling over the internet, the account I gave to the officer on the scene was more along the line of "she hit me on my head, and i kicked her on the face in retaliation"

I would think that most people reading the story kinda realized how overdramatic it was right around the time I mentioned the butterfly effect, guess I was wrong

Let's see, it took the police about 30 minutes to come after the bus driver made the call. I had the shouting match with the crazy bitch for a good 2-3 min before she hit me while only one out of like 10 people waiting on that bus stop that watched the entire spectacle would actually be a witness in my behalf after I asked if anyone saw the bitch attacking me first when the bus driver was bullshitting me about the assault charges that awaits me for kicking an innocent woman.

Yeah, I think I'll stick with physical retaliation in my future assaults against me.

Still doesn't excuse the fact that she hit him first. If anything it'll be a dismissal based on both parties assaulted each other. Granted, a kick to the face is excessive but in the civilian world, there's only two types of assaults: Aggravated and Simple. Neither party went to the hospital, so it's a "simple" assault and regardless of the tactics used, he can only be charged with simple assault (misdemeanor, No more than 180 days and or a fine up to $500.00). To prove simple assault, you have to prove that he had the intent to cause bodily harm to the lady. All he has to say it was a reaction to a close proximity threat from a psychopath who assaulted him and it's case dismissed.

Self defense equates to expressing the same amount of force upon your assailant as is being placed upon you. Self defense does not mean if someone smacks you upside the head you roundhouse kick them, or shoot them or whatever. One of the reasons I get a kick out of those "self defense" training videos you see sometimes where they teach people to flip the fuck out and bash someones head against pavement.

It's hilarious how you make the same mistake twice even after I try to remedy your error. You think I'm raging because I think you're trying to fondle the truth. That's why your original remark said I missed the fact that you were merely exaggerating for the sake of storytelling.
