Nigga you'd be 0-16 right now if Kolb hadn't gotten hurt.
Nigga you'd be 0-16 right now if Kolb hadn't gotten hurt.
I feel like we all should have seen this coming. The overhype of Kolb before inevitably being brought back to Earth, the subsequent overhype of Vick being some sort of rebuilt football-playing archetype of the gods, and then a seemingly-inevitable injury that will only result in further quarterback controversy and disorganization for the front office as we putter our way towards 6-10, trade Vick for a third-rounder overreact and trade Kolb to Oakland for a fifth-rounder, and spend the next decade looking for the Next Big Thing as we retreat to the post-Cunningham, pre-McNabb abyss from whence we came. Another day in the life of a Philly fan.
GO PHILLIES
I think I need to get a Peyton Hillis Jersey, dudes been trucking bitches for the last couple of weeks, it's about time that there's a bright spot in the shit hole of the Browns organization.
You're right and I had hoped
Very true, I forgot about that. What sucks is Choice isnt flashy and isnt going to wow you with 90 yard runs but dude is a complete back and would bring stability to that backfield. I'd love to see him traded and be used properly, I root for him but feel bad because he's getting the shaft just based off of other players hype.
rofl @ 2 yard barbarian. Bradshaw is the man though, you cant even hate. Dude has the combo or both power and shiftiness to get it done.
Pretty much sums up everything holding Dallas back right there. Remember a few years ago when Garrett was the "it guy" as far as head coaching candidates went? Jerry panicked and gave him HC money so no other team could sign him? lmao, he couldnt give Garrett away right now.
Here's the thing with the Cowboys and Wade. Wade is a great DC, but a fucking awful HC. Once he took over the defense, immediate improvement; however, he basically washed his hands of everything in the offense.
Remember that shit play against Washington to end the first half week 1? Wade admitted he was talking to the defensive guys and not fucking paying attention. He said he had veto power and he should have used it but didn't.
And of course, you have Jerry constantly saying who is and isn't starting before Wade ever does. Local sports station that I listens to caught a ton of those last season and I guarantee that it isn't stopping this year either. Jerry is so stubborn as to who should and shouldn't start. Barber outperformed Julius Jones as the backup, so therefore, he can't forget that. He can't forget that Felix had homerun potential despite the fact that he gets constantly injured and has gotten fat and slow this season.
Yet Choice will come in and preform admirably. He doesn't blow away the defense, run people over constantly, but he'll stay around 4 yards/carry. Jerry can't see that, he's just blinded by the past and it's the same reason he always holds on to aging superstars longer than he should, or make stupid trades for them (hello Roy Williams, Joey Galloway, etc).
Fucking drives me mad.
