The Patriots are going to make an absolute killing in the draft this coming year, with the Moss trade they now have a 2 picks in each of the first 4 rounds

edit: and even with Boldin the Cards would still suck ass this year so no harm done
Two mid round draft picks for one of the better WRs in the league? Its not even close to be an even trade.

so had some more time to think about this, and I am sad to see him go but it's time really. his production dropped like crazy in a contract year, and that is scary. I'll miss him and his great numbers and plays he made for us, but it's time to get younger talent and develop it at wr. I'm so stoked for next years draft. oakland's first rounder and carolinas second... I have a feeling hoodie looked at this years draft class a few years ago and told the front office to stock pile picks this year. patriots keep getting younger and younger and faster and more athletic. they really have the potential for another dynasty late in Brady's career. watch out if they get a first round rb and wr, that could be a scary team once the d matures

So Revis is already mouthing off again with the slouch comments. I am so going to laugh if Favre and Moss light his bitch ass up for 100+ yards and a couple of TD's.

So first, lol @ Ochocinco's pigeon having eggs. That's hilarious.

Secondly, it would be funny if Favre and Moss burned Revis. Also, lol @ Miz, haha. Have another neck injury? SO MEAN (and so true).. fuck that guy. Teddy's such a douchebag.

Honestly, Revis couldn't cover Moss against a well thrown fade route. If Moss cares enough he should just be able to jump up and go get it, granted this probably won't happen.

Plenty of great players are taken in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds, that's where the scouts make their money. Boldin is a good receiver, but that is just the value of draft picks these days. Now a 5th rounder for Santonio Holmes(even with the suspension) is pretty ridiculous.

They'll trade 7 of the 8 picks away to end up with 42 first round picks in 2013. (damn straight they'll have more first round picks than there are)

He had a real good view from the sideline. He knows what's up.

mean good view from the TV monitor?

Revis never showed his face on the sideline after he left the game. I thought he stayed in the locker room

Agreed, but (and this is assuming the Pats use Tate as a new deep threat), I bet that they will go back to their pre-Moss days of short passes. Everyone seems to forget they made a killing by having an extremely accurate and strong armed QB make 5-10 yard pass plays, no one could stop it when they did not have a viable deep threat. It got much harder on teams when they did, but it also made Brady more vulnerable to getting hit. So, with how they are using their TE's this year, along with Welker, Edelman, and Tate, the safe bet is that they are moving the offense away from the deep pass and back to short to mid range stuff. Tate will be used as a mid to deep threat (probably along with Hernandez, who shows the value of a 4th round pick) to keep defenses honest, but Brady is most comfortable spreading the ball around.

And, lol on Revis talking shit on Moss. Really, that game is a win-win for me. If Moss makes Revis eat his words (and, thus, tear his hamstring), that's great for shutting that assclown up. If Revis outplays Moss and gets an INT or 3, then making Farve want to go back to the farm is always good. I would not have watched this game before (despise both teams), but now it is just comedy.

Heh.. chatter/rumors out today claim that Moss was traded because the coaching staff was worried he would become a poison pill among the younger players in the clubhouse. Apparently his topics of conversation with the coaches were 1) He wanted job security 2) He wanted "respect" 3) He wanted to be THE EPICENTER of the offense.

so what are the patriots going to do now that they don't have a receiver that HAS to be double teamed all the time?
