They dont want to hear facts, Dallas fans like to assume and live in fantasy world. A world in which every single team in the NFL is inferior and has a cake schedule except for them. That truth bomb just fell on deaf ears, I mean not everyone can get off on 0fer teams during the course of a year like Dallas can.

As a life long Royals fan, what is this thing you guys call "fall ball"? As far as I knew the season ended in May.

Bears are 3-0 and I haven't been posting at all, reverse bandwagon up in here.

I got to witness Orton putting on a show in person last week though, a shame that Peyton just abused Cox all damn day. Also fuck the Broncos, I didn't get any free tacos because they suck.

Bears are gonna lose this week because everyone is picking them, it is their kryptonite.

I wasn't saying the saints aren't going to make the playoffs, was just conceding they will win their division so they aren't really in direct competition with the bears' record, unlike the falcons, vikings, packers, and either the cowboys or eagles

Let me just say, I'm so sorry

The only time I've ever gone to a Royals game and they actually won, was once. That was last April and it took a complete game by Greinke to get it done.

This has been said a lot about the Bears and Chiefs and it's a weak comparison. The biggest attribute to the Broncos collapse last season was the Defense literally falling apart. Half of that was because they only had one NT on the roster and dude tired out after playing basically every snap. Other part was because McDaniels is fucking stupid and decided the scheme Nolan ran was too good and wanted to blitz less. In result, Nolan said fuck it and burned out after last season.

The Bears just have an entire rabbit lodged in their asses and the Chiefs are overachieving like crazy right now.

What was the reasoning for that Super Bowl then, or is that just being chalked up to the Grossman factor?

The Bears arguably have 4 or 5 (depending on your viewpoint of their opponents) "easy" matchups, and given that they're already sitting on 3, they should only need a few wins in the close/underdog matchups to make it into the playoffs. A few of their harder out of conference matchups (Vickles, Pats, Jets) are also at home, which especially in the case of the Patriots given their performance on the road last year bodes well for their record.

Outside of saying "Da Bears," I'm far from a Bears fan, but at this point in the season it's not at all crazy to think they're going to the playoffs. Any given sunday/injury/Cutlerception/yadda yadda

    Was 2 separate, unrelated statements.

    1. Bears have an easy schedule.
    2. I think they are the 2009 Broncos. (ie Win several games to start the season. Implode 2nd half. This is the 2nd time I've said this.)

so what you're trying to tell me is

above average (14/32, as you even said earlier) 'schedule strength' now is equivalent to an easy schedule

    c'mon man

I mean, I'd take that shovel away from you, but you seem to be enjoying the work

I think it's also safer to say that the Bears will have a better run defense then the Broncos (though definitely not sitting at the number 1 they're at now, considering the only legit running game they've encountered so far was Detroit).

Much of this is true, except for the blitzing thing. Before Denver lost to the Ravens, Denver was blitzing less than the league average... by far. They showed a lot of blitz, but it was uncommon for them to actually push with more than four. In the end, the showed fewer blitzes, but actually blitzed more. Plus, as you said, they just didn't have the personnel for a year-long 3-4 base defense. I do agree that Nolan's scheme was great, and while I'm not sold that McDaniels can't do the job, he needs to take his fingers out of every pot, hire people who can do their jobs, and let them do them. I like the mentality he's trying to put on the team, and don't have *too* much of a problem with the players he's let go or the players he's drafted/recruited, but he really, really needs to re-evaluate how he's handling coaches, and their coaching.
