Didn't taj disprove the crafting myths
From what I could observe yellow has a lower success rate than white, however if successful you lose less Durability compared to white/red/multicolor and sometimes there is no loss at all (no SS but I swear the only times I got 0 Durability loss were on yellow).
Well shit, maybe SE can redeem themselves after all.
glad they posted this. Hubby gonna be thrilled cause he's been yelling at us (vent peeps) for forever to wait on white.
Well, find out which tools do what...
Alchemy:
Alembic = +1s
Mortar = quantities
Cooking:
Skillet = ?
Culinary Knife = alternate items
Woodworking:
Saw = quantities
Claw Hammer = ?
Goldsmithing:
Chaser Hammer: +1s
Grinding Wheel: alternate items
You think alternate items falls under quantities?
So if ranking the orb colours from stable to unstable is the general consensus:
White : Multi : Yellow : Red?
oops double post
It looks like to me like it's something like~
White: Best odds for both quality and progress
Multi: A chance at both or one of quality and progress being diminished
Yellow: Quality is diminished
Red: Progress is diminished
Real question hasn't been asked, is there a game outside of crafting?... and if so when does it begin?
It's not funny it's a serious question what outside of leves and crafting is there? a serious and honest question as to whats on the horizon?
For me? Feint. yep, just got it again for the 4th time today since CB and it's still just as good. Also, that pic of a huuuuuuuuuggggeeeee Ram. I want to fight that thing. Bad. THat's what I'm holding out for.

Alright then aside from what the game isn't... My question is are there any plans to tone down the level of cross crafting dependence and any consideration about a possible reducing of the amount of skill needed to make items that are actually useful at your level? Alot of crafts that are upgrades at your level take crafting skill from multiple classes that are twice the level of the item sought. Will this be changed at any point in the future?
Probably not. Without a proper economy and high level crafters the system is more difficult for the pioneers, but once those have been taken care of the system will make more sense.
High level crafters supply the lower level players, and work together. Cross crafting is more apparent now, but at some point more specialization is going to happen. At that point you just buy stuff from others, which is the basic idea.
There's no need to change this system (aside from recipe book ofc), but changing market wards now is even more important.
The cake is a lie. Don't believe SE.
Crafting is still painfully random as fuck. I've blown up so many white orbs on level 1 synths when I'm 19 it's like SE designed the system to just do whatever the fuck it wants.
Out of 30 levels of crafts, I've done 2/4 synths on a leve 10 levels above me, but lost more than I care to say to synths well under 10 levels below me. These devs can suck on my balls.
Oh and what is with rapid synth being completely useless now?
