So the Kings took the lead. If this were a fair world, that would be the end of the story. I'm a Lakers fan, have been since the day I was born, but even I could sense the justice in it. The narrative was too perfect. One last stand, one last heroic charge. Even as the Lakers looked to suffer a humiliating collapse in defeat, it seemed like fate. The Lakers were the villains in this story, and as Hollywood's team, they knew that the villains are supposed to lose. Only one guy wasn't interested in the script. So Kobe Bryant re-wrote the ending.

I've been hearing people talk about who the favorites are and it makes me laugh.

Teams like the Thunder and Bulls, are too young and havent been playoff tested.

Teams like the Spurs, Celtics, and Lakers are too Old, but are battle tested.

So I guess its the Heat are the favorites, but they have no depth. LOL

The Thunder, other than the Celtics, were the only team to take the Champion Lakers to the brink last year. Could say they are adequately "playoff tested" though they didn't win in LA.

I really see the heat sweeping the sixers. They both play the same kind of ball with same kind of players just Miami's players are that much better. I think that a lot of these first round series are gonna go later than expected though.

Also to Memphis being a farm team to LA..... the entire league is a farm team for the big cities and that's why the impending lockout will (I think) cost the NBA all of next season unless they add something like a franchise tag.

If thats the logic we gonna use then the Chicago Roses are adequately playoff tested because they took the Celtics to the brink two year ago as a 7th seed.

Wouldn't have gone to 6 had Kobe's knee been drained earlier. Dramatic spike in his scoring after that.
