I thought that the Suns were rumored to want to deal Nash and rebuild; if that were the case they definitely should have given whatever the hell Phoenix wanted for him. Nash-Howard pick-and-roll would be pretty unstoppable.

Hell, look at the Wizards. You look and see one bad contract in Lewis, then realize 'ohshit, we just offloaded Gilbert Arenas' shitty contract' lol, so they traded one bad one for a terrible one

Yeah Suns and Wizards made out like bandits. Suns get rid of Hedo's awful contract and get a legit center they needed. Wizards actually get SOMETHING for Arenas.

I don't even think this makes the Magic better, maybe marginally. Hedo sucked the year before he left Orlando too.

ya wiz had desperately been trying to excise gilbert for a long time, so it was a good trade for them. there was NO ONE else who would have taken gilbert back, and they didn't want him anywhere near their locker room. i still kinda feel bad for them because their roster is filled with chuckleheads. it's not just gilbert they needed to get rid of.

and yeah, trade was pretty good for suns. hedo was godawful there with a bad contract, so they switched him for a legit starting center who can defend and rebound. big contract or not, they save money with gortat. and yeah, it sucks for them to lose j-rich, but they're somewhat gambling on nash getting vince to be vince which is quite possible.

even if vince continues to play like he is this season, it's still good for them given gortat can actually contribute in a need spot for them, unlike hedo who was a terrible fit.

Van Gundy said last night that Jameer Nelson will NOT be coming off the bench, so one of the new guys will be. I hope that changes honestly lol. I know there are some scenarios of Arenas playing the 2 and J-Rich playing 3. Just have no idea who the fuck is going to back up Howard now....someone will have to step their game up.

Damn J Rich plays like shit all game but comin up with 2 straight must-make 3's near the end to get some redemption and make this game at least semi interesting.

Howard beasting tonight, team looks better already, they just need some time. Still havent practiced together yet lol. Earl Clark gave some nice minutes tonight, that was a nice little surprise. Would be great if he came off the bench and contributed like that, need someone with that size so badly.

If they had learned to guard Butler and not let them take so many fucking wide open 3s this game woulda been so much easier for the Magic to take...was just terrible in the first half.

Harder than you think, that's the Mavs offense. They post up Dirk and once he draws a double they get it to the open man and Butler/Kidd/Stevenson all hit 3s. They only take them if wide open but they almost always are, Mavs are very unselfish when it comes to offense. Last year if you told me the Mavs could win a game where Dirk only goes for 17 and Howard for 26/23 I would of laughed my ass off.

lmao did you guys see Demarcus Cousins giving the choke sign to a free throw shooter late in a game? They were up 5 at the time with like 40 seconds left and ended up losing in OT, hahahaha.
